Given the matter of fact that purple is the predominant color of Phoenix' city flag, the color seems to be quite suitable for a soccer team in Phoenix. Moreover, its also the predominant color of the Suns, Phoenix' most prominent sports team, so people are already familiar with it in Arizona. And for sure, it would be truly unique in the MLS. So, how would you like it if the potential team would go for a color scheme like ACF Fiorentina?

Purple is the reason I never bought any D-backs gear although they're my baseball team. Now that they've switched to red, I bought a few things. Aside from the Minnesota Vikings I don't think you'll find any sports teams that wear purple that have had much success selling their gear. The suns don't really sell much stuff outside of AZ. Guys just don't like purple.

The University of Washington does a really good job with purple. That being said, I agree with earlier postings that there is enough purple in the Valley. I like the light blue in gilmoreaz's crest. I think it should be the accent color to a dark navy or black kit.

On one hand, yes purple is a big color for Phoenix, but I'd rather a Phoenix team build it's own image, because purple would piggy backing on the Suns (and to a lesser extent, the Dbacks).
At the same time, I'd like to see something isn't red or blue either, and though I do love bright green I don't think others would go for it. I'd love for one of our uniforms, though, be similar to the Manchester United 06/07 away kit, as the white tops with black shorts and socks look pretty smart to me.

I'm not against purple. I just don't want to have Phoenix have the same look as 3 or 4 other MLS teams.
I like banded socks.

The only thing worse than purple would be purple and teal.

The departure of purple from the Diamondbacks kit is all the more reason to bring it to MLS. It's indicative of Phoenix and unique to MLS. A great choice.
P.S. Check out another club that has painted its country purple...

I wouldnt like purple much and I also agree with the post above about following the suns and dbacks. I think maybe a black and red, or green and gray or green black :).

I think that, who voted for Purple is only because the red and the blue are really over used in the MLS.
A combination of black and green would do very well for a team in Phoenix.
Besides MLS need the green in one of it teams

Purple has a mesmerizing effect on supporters, I think purple would be a good color to go with. I haven't seen a lot of them! Before Red Bull effectively bought SV Austria Salzburg and erased its history, they were a purple team.

I like this one, I am a vikings fan though, on the vikings old uniforms they had a slightly darker shade of purple on the shoulders and arms which I think looked nice. I think I like the first set you did better. Maybe a gold top with red or blue shorts for second kit or GK uni.

This kit looks too much like the Suns unis. IMO, I think it is best to create some unique team idenity/colors/kit.

I'm not a huge fan of purple, and I think that we'd want to create our own identity, but this is a pretty good design that I'd be more than happy with. I especially like how you just used the Phoenix flag's symbol for the badge instead of a dopey brand logo. Good stuff.
