I played soccer for the first time since I had my ACL surgery back in Sept this weekend. I notice that I am overcompensating on my knee, which causes pain in my opposite ankle. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to help avoid this, as I know athletes that tear one can tear the other if they overcompensate too much?

I had the same issue after injuring my knee this past summer. The best thing is to try and forget, though it's extremely hard. don't push yourself to much and pratice with it as much as possible. I still have pain in my knee, only now it doesn't effect my play at all.

Continue to do your PT to strengthen the muscles around/supporting your knee. That helps with both the physical side, as well as the mental side of completing your recovery.
