This was a GREAT video game btw..
The story is that Persians are on a military campaign in India and Prince is trying to loot the Indian castle when he gets caught up in a magic sands of time thing along with the princess of the Indian kingdom that the Persians have demolished, etc..
But then again, I don't think Americans are too keen on distinguishing persians, arabs, indians, etc.. Americans are all about asserting your individual rights and this also applies in pop culture and media. Even Koreans or Asians in general suffer from misrepresentation in spite of Korea being a democratic country with close ties to 'west'.

I do remember one of the points raised with Geisha was using Chinese actresses to portray Japanese Geishas! Yeah, it is unfortunately the concept of whatever sells.
Incidentally I got the game but the graphics driver on my PC was too old to be able to run it! Still annoyed at that. Probably the last game I ever got.
