Who from the S.o.B's are heading to RFK stadium on Thursday to root on DCU against the vile, villianous Goats?

All the SOBs heading down there should meet up before hand. There should be between 4-6 of us between me and my friends, most of whom are interested in cheering for a Philadelphia team in the future.

So? Who's going?

Way to make me jealous guys. I can't do weeknight games cause of work and I'm going through DCU withdraw and you guys are going down. Thanks a lot. April 14th can't come soon enough. Anyway, scream a few obscenitites at the goats for me.

Don't think JPizz is coming, but two other SoB/Barra Brava members will be joining me, along with the Misses.

It's going to be a packed Cherokee.

I'd LOVE to be there (as I went to two DCU playoff games this past fall) but like the brotha' above, I cannot go on a weeknight due to work schedule.

Clearly, you should quit your job. There's soccer on the pitch, nothing is more important.

I am debating going to this game. It's about 3.5 hours from Pittsburgh and I have some friends in DC. Plus I could cheer for Chivas when they whoop DC. This isn't to say that I think they are a better team (though I do) but that the Mexican sides are in the middle of the Clausura and are in much better shape than DC at this point.

It's simple...grew up in Philly with an English Chelsea supporting friend. Moved to North Jersey for about 4 years and lived in Hoboken on the same street at a bunch of players. I root for the US because well, I'm American. I recently (as in the last month) moved to Pittsburgh.

Make sense now? And yes, I own two Chivas shirts. My brother in-law here in Pittsburgh is Mexican and his family is all from Guadalajara. I actually really, really enjoy the Mexican League. I get about 5 games a weekend and I think the standard of play far surpasses that of MLS. The Mexican League is what MLS should strive to become. (In my eyes atleast.)

Plus rooting against DC is always acceptable in my book!

It's just a damn fine league. Plus it's easy to hate a lot of the teams but not as much as I hate DC.

What's funny is that Philadelphians...for the most part...support DC in MLS. I am one of the exceptions. I don't get it though. Metro was/is closer and easier to get to for PA suburbs and NJ residents. The only thing they don't have is a cup...so I guess you're all bandwagon gloryhunters! Go become Cowboys fan why don't you!? :)

Growing up, I always hated teams from DC (well the Redskins) more than I ever hated NY teams.

Growing up I hated NY...and gloryhunter? I was at the first home game 4.20.96 vs Andrew Shue and the LA Galaxy. Plus I was living in NC at the time - 5 hours seemed better than 9.

Wow...you came out with the details way too fast. Bryan I think you might suffer from DC-itis. Don't worry I've got an easy remedy, simply come with me to the Swamp one game. We'll get drunk and sit in a 90% empty stadium cheering for a crap team.

Anyone can root for DC...it takes character to support Metro.
