some position like DM that doesnt need so much ball skills, most important factor is running and body.Running after the ball just like a body wall.we can see some great players like makelele, hammann, gatosso and new star sissoko.so why not produce such star?i think poldi is strong enough to play DM,and boateng is a good body wall,im so curious why he doesnt play DM?club produce DM needs less money and time, why not?

You know, that defensive midfield is one of the most important
positions in modern football, don´t you?
It´s far more than running and body, class defensive midfielders need
playmaking skills like a good technic to control the ball
and good passing skills to let your team start a good attack.
And Poldi as a DM, well ...

PS: not only DM can become game maker but also the side players like C.Ronaldo. i think who have the ability to determine the result is player maker.Ronaldinho is also a game maker and he is also a side player.

sorry but its not CM like Gellard or OM like Zidane its DM like sissoko or gatusso in milan, have you watched sissoko in liverpool ? this guy seems never take part in attactting and he cant pass the ball in the right place,he only run after ball in the middle field.
nowadays complete middle players are few because produce such player is expensive.OM is disappearing either.all team like to attact along the side with fast runner.producing such type of players need less money.Clubs can pick up some fast boys then train little can make good return.nowadays MONEY is the KING in football. With less money training fairly good players will be persued by most club.
PS: imo not only DM can become playe maker but also side players such as C.Ronaldo,he is a right side but he have the ability to determine the results so i think he is a playe maker.i think who have the ability to determine the results he is the play maker of the team either middle players or side players

I agree with you, that educating players is very important.
That a class DM must win the ball for his team is a must,
he should also be able to take the opponents OMs
out the match, i fully agree.
But thatīs standard and most teams* have such players.
So if you donīt switch quickly from defense to offense
itīs hard for you to get chances.
So IMHO itīs also necessary, that a DM can initilize
an attack of his team. Donīt get me wrong, he doesnīt need Zizous
or Gerrards skill for it. He also doesnīt need Ronaldinhos dribblings
or Kakas speed, no, me must be able to play a good pass after he
won the ball and then play it to one offensive player (OM, winger, striker).
Sissoko and Gattuso might not be tecnical genious (to say it polite),
but they have enough skill to control the ball, play it fast to a teammate,
who then makes the game really fast.

i agree with you, typical CM must have good pass.but in liverpools system, sissoko tackled the ball and then passed the ball to Xavi and then maybe to Belamy(fast guy).
in milans system thats the same, gatusso get the ball then to pirlo who is the one of the best long passer in the world.milan doesnt have fast guys but ball runs faster than man so pirlo is fast than C.Ronaldo.:)
IMO if you have strong body and some speed and spirit a young player can play DM(sissokos role) position.i think this position to some extent is a leg breaker's position.
i cant find any factor that young germany players lack for this position.so i just so curious why there aret such german players.
but maybe Ottl is a good one!:)

It´s correct, that young German leg breaker types are rare,
but there are some young German players,
who can play well in defensive midfield:
Ottl (as mentioned), Schulz (Werder), Rolfes, Castro (both Leverkusen), ...
