There are 35 national teams in CONCACAF (not counting the non-FIFA members). If you took one player from each team, what's the best 18 man roster you could come up with? I was doing this just for fun, and here's what I came up with. Thoughts?

I would include Guyana's Nigel Convington in the forward group. Peguero and Ruiz are great goalscorers, but they did not take part in the qualifying and we can't tell how good they currently are. Therefore, I would replace them with American Twellman and Guyana's Nigel.
I would also replace Khano Smith with Haiti's Richard Bruny, a more technical player in the midfield.
I am not sure why Americans Onyewu and Friedl wouldn't be in this team.
Anyway, your team would be quite strong.

You're missing the point of my post. Which is that I'm only using one player from each national team.

Nice list.
Knowing only Canada well I can say that Atiba Hutchinson is probably our best player and plays the same position as De Guzman. Patrice Bernier is also arguably better, but Hutchinson is a no-doubter.

He said 1 player from each country, unfortunatley you always want more tthan one from each country. I could't even make a list b/c between Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico and USA we could make 2 all star teams lol

If I had a choice to make my own All-Star CONCACAF team (bearing in mind the 1 player per country rule) this would be my ideal team (these are my personal choices):
GK: Shane Orio, Bermuda (Punta Arenas, CR)
RB: Ezra Hendrickson, St. Vincent & the Grenadines (Columbus Crew, MLS)
CB: Claude Davis, Jamaica (Sheff. Utd., EPL)
CB: Felipe Baloy, Panama (Monterrey, MFL)
LB: Carlos Salcido, Mexico (PSV, Dutch Eredivisie)
RM: Carlos Edwards, Trinidad & Tobago (Sunderland, The Championship, England)
DM: Ricardo Clark, USA (Houston Dynamo, MLS)
AM: Alonso Solis, Costa Rica (Saprissa, CR)
LM: Paul Stalteri, Canada (Spurs, EPL)
FW: Carlos Ruiz, Guatemala (FC Dallas, MLS)
FW: Jason Roberts, Grenada (Blackburn Rovers, EPL)

First team:
GK: Shane Moody-Orio, tall and good reflexes (Belize)
Def: Onyewu, needs no intro (USA)
Marquez, needs no intro (mexico)
Felipe Baloy, impressive def in last UNCAF (Panama)
MF: Shalrie, no intro needed (Grenada)
Alonso Solis, hard working mf with a nose for goals (CR)
Richard Bruny, very technical and good judgement (Hai)
Quintanilla Eliseo, Tricky mf (winger) and good passer (ES)
Fw: David Suazo, no intro needed (Hond)
Luton Shelton, lethal goalscorer (Jam)
Convington Nigel, audacious and talented (Guy)
This 1 player per team rule makes it hard to have the best possible concacaf best 18-team.

Ian Lake from St. Kitts & Nevis as a backup striker. He scored 7 goals in 2 games for WC 06 Qualifying...
Also Gavin Glinton from Turks & Caicos Islands. I think he plays in MLS.

No, not Shaka Hislop...
Carlos Edwards, Dwight Yorke or even Stern John.
