Review of Soccer Boots - Shoes

I'm just trying to get a feel for who is wearing what soccer boots\shoes and why?

Also what manufacturers (Diadora, Nike, Addidas etc) are known for what in their offerings and how the boots hold up?

Personally I find Nike's very narrow. The Mercurial Vapours are super narrow, but extremely light. They have a pretty hard sole which make them uncomfortable.
