Essien for me, another great performance.

Mikel for me, calmed and invigorated all at the same time. Chelsea's Cesc, but just like Chelsea when compared to Arsenal, bigger and stronger :D

Mikel for sure. Robben was good and all, but that diving made me sick.. there was no need to stoop to that level.

Just lay it rest. Robben will learn soon enough that diving is not going to get him anywhere. IMO, it's working against him and refs. tend not to give real fouls as free-kicks.
That and Jose will surely talk to him about it as well.
And yes, mikel came on and changed a mid-field that never looked threatening.MOTM.

Mikel for me as well, his breakout game maybe? unfortunately he has to sit the next 3 games. He played with more freedom today and his confidence grew, even taking long range shots. Jose shoud loosen the shackles with this kid and let him roar. there is more to his game than we've seen so far. He is very skillful and fluid, his tackling has improved by a long mile since begining of the season.
Let me warn u though, he is very fiery and feisty, don't be fooled by his calm style. in the u-21 championship, he was very vocal and bossy with his team mates, always telling them where and what he needs them to do. he had all the leverage because he was the best player in that team and u can see his influence in that team.

I gave the nod to Robben actually. Mikel and Essien were both wonderful but I honestly don't think we get two goals without Robben and we needed two goals.

I wouldn't give anybody a MOTM myself.
Everybody had a rather subpar performance.
Mikel played quite well, but only for 45 mins, although that wasn't his fault I realise.

everybody? i thought A.Cole was consistently solid throughout the 90, didnt do anything to get MOTM, but didnt put a foot wrong imho.

True enough, but when we were needing to get back in the game, he did bugger all to get it moving down the wing.
From a player thats a very good attacking full back, he was subpar when we needed it most.
