Long time reader, first time poster. I play soccer at a high level for my age; the only level im not at is ODP. I made the high school varsity team as a sophmore on a loaded team. We were all juniors, and me as the only sophmore. Needless to say, we struggled. However, our senior year we put it all together and won our league title, went to the quarters in states, and finished 8th in the state. 14 talented seniors leave next year, leaving me, and 4 other underclassmen with varsity expierence. I play center mid, and my opposite center mid is also a fine player. The players that are on varsity are solid, just haven't seen action. Naturally, it is up to me and my other center middie to lead this team. We fill big shoes, as the last 2 center mids were ODP players and recieved full scholarships to d1 schools.
Sorry for digressing...
is there any tips you guys can give me on how to prepare for a tough season, and how we can make the best of it. The skill is there, the expierence and age is not. We have an outside shot at repeating the title, but i want to maximize our chances.
Basically, what can i do to help this team win our league again???

insight would be welcomed

IMHO The only way you can prepare mentally is to watch alot of high level matches like Real Madrid, Barcelona etc... study the plays, the offence and defence and what they do in certain situation etc. Mentally there's not much you can do but be ready and know your part.

Bobbyswe is certainly right. I'm kinda in the same boat as you pmart1115 and we (my team) have spent time finding out what we can about the other teams that might be a threat to us. We also developed gameplans to counter their strategy and so far it has worked.
