What is you opinion of each group, what 2 teams will get out of their group. Group discussions only.
GROUP A: Miami’s Orange Bowl
1. COSTA RICA,
2. HAITI,
3. CANADA,
4. GUADELOUPE
This group has a strong team in Costa Rica who has World Cup experience and they just won the Central American Championship over Panama. The next team will be a toss up between the hard charging Haiti who never seem to tire and the Canadian team which will try to prove they are worthy. (I say Costa Rica and Canada emerge)
GROUP B: Home Depot Center and Gillette
1. USA,
2. TRINIDAD & TOBAGO,
3. GUATEMALA,
4. El SALVADOR
This group will have the USA emerge. It is their home country the Cup is playing in. They will be playing their European based players and the new coach will not want to lose a game in the opening round. They have the talent, height and with home field should emerge. The other team I believe will get thought will be T and Tabago. If T & T played their "French" players and did not sent them back to their European clubs early they would have beat Haiti for the Caribbean Championship. Guatemala is a good tactical team but will lack the offense to be the top team in this group. They could get through is T&T stumbles. El Sal will play with heart but the reason why they are here is because they hosted the Central Am Championship and the Gold Cup took 5 Central Am Countries.
GROUP C: Giants Stadium and Reliant Stadium Houston
1. MEXICO,
2. PANANA,
3. HONDURAS,
4. CUBA
This will be the most competitive group play. We all know how technically sound the Mex team can be and they can create offense. Mexico will get through. Panama is also a very strong club that can challenge any team in the tournament. However Honduras will not play a defensive game in this tournament. They erupted for 9 goals in their last match. They can create offense and they will. Cuba will realize this tournament is a step up from the Carib tourney
Mex and Panama emerge.

Dude, you sound like you come from another planet.
1-TnT doesn't have to stumble for Guatemala to get through. Check your Concacaf 101 book again.
2-Cuba is not a newcomer in concacaf football. As a matter of fact, they seem to perform better at that level.
3-Haiti only had three foreign-based players in the squad that won the cfu title in TnT. Just like TnT, Haiti had a local based team. Gabart, Cadet, Bruny, Fucien... they are all playing club football in Haiti.

Why don't you put 3 first you know you want to. And at neutral sites T&T is 2,2,0 against the chapins so you would be right if the Gold Cup was in Guatemala.
I have one more to add to your list though, the only T&T player I know playing in france is Kevin Connell who plays in the French 3rd division.

Costa Rica Again?!!
Well, no coach, no prep..not too optimistic about what I would normally think a good draw for Canada.

lack the Offense>>>???? Explain please, Guatemala Was missing Carlos Ruiz on the UNCAF and he will be in thier for Guatemala, so Will Pezzarossi, and Sandoval Guatemala's 1st Choice attack, includin pando and Rodriguez, it won;t be that porous side you saw in the UNCAF nations cup, it will be the side from the last WCQ that produced goals. what makes you think they wont score??
TT might not have the money or support to send thier euros. plus IIRC many of TT players have retired , like latapy & Yorke, Hislop.

1. COSTA RICA
2. CANADA
3. HAITI ***
4. GUADELOUPE
1. USA,
2. GUATEMALA
3. TRINIDAD & TOBAGO ***
4. El SALVADOR
1. MEXICO,
2. HONDURAS
3. PANAMA
4. CUBA
Those are my group predictions with T&T and Haiti going through as best third place teams. I have a feeling Panama and Cuba are going to get beaten up by Mexico and Honduras and could see their head to head being a draw where as T&T should be able to beat El Salvador and the same with Haiti over Guadeloupe. At the same time I could see Haiti giving Canada decent run in their matchup.

Group A-
Costa Rica should sleepwalk through this this group. Canada is a bit of a wild card, at times they can really look dangerous but mostly seem to fall apart at the seems. They have talented guys abroad, if they can get them al together and a coach with some tactical savy they should advance as well. Haiti and Guap need a lot of help and some shock results to get in the next round.
Group B-
The US wont be challenged. They own Gualtamala and El Slavador. T&T always plays them tight but are never really a threat to win, a draw is an outcome that is possible there. I expect the US to win and a fight between Guatamala and T&T for second and third with both advancing.
Group C-
Mexico "should" win on class alone. Still they stumbled in this compotion last time and i think unlike the US they are looking to bring a stronger side to Copa America. Honduras is like Canada, they could either get resluts or implode. Panama was a finalist last time and really get up for this tournament, i can see them getting as high as second here. Cuba is a wild card, they have the ability to advance. This seems like the most wide open group to me, Mexico will get first but any of the next 2 could finish as high as second.

Interesting development that Trinidad & Tobago have suspended all National Team operations so if it's still in place Group B gets a bye?
Basically Jack Warner has apparently been paying their salaries of the coaches all along and just notified them that he won't do it anymore. Maybe this is something related to his WC Travel Agency scam there and FIFA is starting to dig a little?

would guyana be the replacement since they were #5 in the caribbean zone, or would a side like jamaica get the spot?

I'd think it appropriate that if T&T were pulled out of the Gold Cup there would be a playoff between the two third placed teams in the final round groups (Martinique and Guyana) to take their spot, but wouldn't be surprised if CONCACAF used it as an excuse to bring in a country that can make them more money (Jamaica).
Either way I think T&T will have this sorted out by then.

Well analyzed onionsack
There are many good teams in this tournament..
US Mex and CR shouldn't have a problem..
but i feel that everything else is Wide Open
-Haiti - Canada could be a battle
-T&T-Guatemala will be close as well (if T&T played like they played in the world cup Guatemala is done for. but i doubt it will happen like that) Also, el Salvador are no push overs, they didn't look to bad in the UNCAF cup.
-Honduras - Panama will also definitely be a battle
- i don't think Guadeloupe can do much, and Cuba wont be underestimated again, so neither will do well
Those 2nd and 3rd place battles will be very interesting
