Could be worse, at least Mexico drew Honduras (the biggest hacks in the tournament) in the first round and not us. T&T looked pretty godd in the last World Cup, I'd say that they are the most dangerous first-round opponent, but we really ought not have any trouble with any of the three teams.
Mexico, of course, has the easier semi-final game. We'll have to play Costa Rica.

This group is way too easy. We could win it with our under 20's and some euros.
I don't see point using Donovan, Keller, Howard, Gooch and Bocanegra during the group phase, they should be use for the next round. But I would start Dempsey and Beasley to regain some match fitness.
Good time to call: Altidore, Adu, Feilhaber, Bradley, Rogers, Strugis, Smith, Ferrari, Kamani Hill, Jemal Johnson and Ozorco

You do realize that the U-20 world cup overlaps with this tournament, right?

FYI, from today's CONCACAF press release (http://www.concacaf.com/view_article.asp?id=3738) announcing the match schedule:
"Ticket information for the 2007 Gold Cup will be announced late March."

Canada has some decent players. Could they bring a decent team?

The under 20's is about a month way from this tournament. Plus, this expierence is more than helpful developing these players for under 20's, I think Rogen wouldn't get angry about this, because the Gold Cup will help them prepare better for Youth World Cup.

I thought that too at first, but like it or not its probably true. If we bring our top guns were gonna destroy this group. If Bradley calls in the A team theres no reason why we shouldn't win each group match by 3 goals. Group play is just gonna be a formality everyone knows the final is gonna be US vs Mex or Costa Rica.

EASY group but, at least, I can go to 2 USMNT GC games at the HDC!!!
Now that the groups are set, I'm interested in who will make up the roster!!
ANYTHING less than a Gold Cup trophy IMO will be a MAJOR disappointment!!

Interesing in that each group is fairly similar in quality. I guess the toughest group is the one with both Mexico and Honduras in it, but for the most part everyone gets a fair shake here.
