For the first time in four years, OL doesn't have an away goal cushion heading into the return leg. While Lyon are slight favorites, they are by no means guaranteed an easy win. In fact, it is quite possible that Roma might surprise us all.
So here's hoping that Lyon has rediscovered their earlier form!
Possible lineup:
Coupet
Clerc - Squillaci - Cris - Abidal
Tiago - Diarra - Juninho
Govou - Fred - Malouda
I imagine Clerc will get the nod at right back because Reveilliere played at St. Etienne. There isn't any choice about the midfield this time. Toulalan is suspended, and Fabio Santos isn't even listed as part of the squad. Hopefully Diarra will be able to cope after coming back from a long injury. He looked good this past weekend, but as he said himself, St. Etienne is not Roma. Kallstrom would get a spot in the starting lineup only if Tiago's back flares up again.
Fred will obviously get to start, probably Govou as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see Wiltord and Baros come in as a second half subs. I don't know about Benzema playing - only if we're winning comfortably - except I doubt that will happen! Despite two attack-based teams playing against each other, the goals haven't been dropping out of the sky for either Lyon or Roma.
I will take comfort in Lyon's 18 match unbeaten streak at the Gerland.
I also hope Juninho doesn't pick up a yellow card in the event that we progress. Because that would be a repeat of last year.

Actually this time, we have to get a win to go through to the next round and I've got a real bad feeling about going into this. About this I mean about not having taken advantage in the first leg for the first time in four years. That means all the pressure will be on us tomorrow.
Of course we might pull off a goalless draw and get lucky on the penalty shootout but I don't think Houllier's ticker can handle that.

here's how i see the plus's and negatives:
+ At the Gerland
- no toulalan, only a diarra who just came back from injury
- totti is playing against a big team in a big game
+ we have almost a full squad to pick from
+ we have a great record at home
- this is a little too nerve racking
- juni hasn't been himself lately from the dead ball opportunities
- our luck with italian teams
+ we are OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS!!

The last one doesn't really count but still, it is oh so true that we have a great record at home. But remember we need a win, not just a result and when that happened last time, we got knocked out of this competition..

The RMC commentators are saying that Cris is clearly less confortable now that he is no longer playing with his buddy Cacapa at his side.
