I guess you do miss out on all of the cup monies and the cup run. But still, Dominating a division season after season gets boring.

I enjoy playing new teams and scouting them.

don't forget the tactical work you getta do, that can be quite a bit of fun.

True, "dominating" is exaggerated as I had 3 losses and tie. Really the best part is winning while having the 3rd lowest team salary.

If I go up to III.5, I'll follow the division winner from my series last season, who's now auto-demoting back to IV.

then I'd say upgrade the stadium to increase your revenue.

I will go to 40k for sure, maybe 42500. I need to keep monies in the bank because I already lose about 10k every 2 weeks. And my salaries on my 4 top mids will skyrocket.

Is it even possible to lose against a walkover...who wins if neither team sets a lineup?
That's a good question, and I have no idea.

The series you would be promoting into looks like a nightmare though! The top 6 teams all averaged higher midfields than you, which is the primary indicator of success.

I hear you on not wanting to promote. Just because your team and my team are so far ahead of most of hattrick doesn't mean we have to commit suicide for a season. :)

I do agree though that the Cup is much more fun than the regular season usually.

After promoting out of one of the weakest divisions in V, and now winning one of the weakest division in IV I've drawn a walkover for a promotion qualy, which I had planned to lose. HT just keeps giving it on a silver platter and this qualy will prob be more of a curse. Is it even possible to lose against a walkover...who wins if neither team sets a lineup?

I wanna say the home team does, but I'm probably wrong. It may just go all the way to the "coin flip"

A coin flip sounds good. :D

How funny would it be for a bot to NOT demote though?

considering its a bot you'd have to think theres a mechanism in place where the bot goes down in case of double-walkover.

and I think its fair if he gets a d3 beatdown for a yr, coming from a jaded team that just fought out of one of the best d5s only to land in a rugged d4 :)

It would not be funny for my current IV group, they get the division champ back instead of a bot.

i still have a coin flip chance of avoiding that!

That's freaky, I came this close to going into III.5 myself (as noted above). It would have been a V.146 reunion. :D

Too bad, always more fun with a BS rivalry. Especially since you owe me for our last match... :D

One good thing about potentially promoting is getting out of a very boring division conference.

I didn't know you could PIC cup games.

So am I the equivalent of the small teams like Albany that are thrown to the Lions in the beginning of the NCAA tourney?

You're probably lower than Albany.
