Have many of the 65 or so SoB's, that apparently aren't coming, replied in any sort of way saying they just can't make it or are they just ignoring the mass emails?
I was hoping that the numbers would climb as it got closer to the event, but it seems to have only grown by a few after the initial announcement.
Perhaps we pitch in to buy some beer and bribe them each with a free beer, that always works :D

let's hope it's not a sign of things to come once the franchise is announced.

I don't think it is. I think a lot of people are interested in outdoor and that's it. Plus the folks that are coming all kind of know each other from on here or in person. I mean DC has outings to the Caps that draw 50. And they have 11 years of history. Once we have an MLS team, our numbers will be fantastic.
Also, let me make this clear, you don't have to an SoB to sign up.

Shake it off big daddy. Any work on the logo for the tees for the game?

It's just a shame because they're putting their personal feelings about a variation of the sport above the supporters group, particularly when we are trying to show how much support a Philly MLS franchise would receive. Any other way to get through to these crazy SoB's?

Very GOOOOD, Dills. And therein lies the genesis of my adamance regarding the COMPLEX concept:
If people are USED to coming to a central site, contiguous to their stadium, for their OWN practices and games, all those kids and the related 'soccer parents' will be that much more LIKELY to feel comfortable keeping that habit and staying on to attend the pro games, as well.
One of the most difficult demographix to convince to support pro soccer in this country is the 'soccer community' because they think they KNOW soccer ("real" soccer and "good" soccer). So they disdain 'American soccer' and choose, instead, to support international leagues and national teams.

Well I can honestly say that it just isn't the best weekend for me. I've got my wife's birthday and my best friend's daughter is being baptized. Fitting this in just couldn't be done.
I'm definately going to put the match on my DVR so I can see if you guys get on the TV!
That being said if anything does change by the Friday deadline I will be there.

I posted a comment on the Sons of Ben MySpace page about signing up for the trip. I dunno how much it can do though because I think there are only about 10 people that aren't an organization or otherwise.
