Hey all. I've been asked by my store managers to try and plan a trip to a DC game for interested employees (I work at the Germantown Best Buy for one of my jobs). There are already 5 or 6 people definitely signed up. If possible, I'd like to pick one with a good promotion (mini-ball day or, preferably, a bobble-head day.) Did DC release a schedule of promotional events for the season, or do they announce these events on the fly? Thanks!

Contact the DC United front office. They used to have promotional items listed on their web site, but I can't seem to find it now.

Also, if you can, get seats next to one of the supporter clubs. That way people get to hear the singing, etc. and get a real flavor for the game and the crowd.

Tonight is "Ride the Metro and try not to look conspicuous as you walk through the 'hood" night :D

No, but seriously, I don't think the club does a lot of gate promotions. Most of the promotional items are reserved for large groups and season ticket holders.

My bad. Maybe next year they can get Totes Umbrellas to sponsor it.

COME ON! no hooligan appreciation night?? what is this world coming too? They should at least supply 120 with donuts. Actually, make that triple-supply us with donuts, Sachin and Pepe will eat one supply, Todd will throw another at the keeper and the rest are for me.

AND THANK god for that...I'm fed up having to deal with it. I guess to a lot of people, those braniacs 180IQ thinkers United pays the big bucks to draw up promotions realized that being Hispanic doesn't necessarily mean you eat nachos and crappy beer.

At the same time, that sapnish dushbag announcer finally says DC united, and not DC JUknighted.

Jacen, not sure if these would count as "promotions" but members of the Coaches Association (which is free to join) get cones, members of the youth fan club (again, free to join) get a variety of things (bobble-heads, playing cards, T-shirts) depending upon the game (the promotions are available for a couple of different games before they move on to the next one).

Note that it's not against LA this year.
