In some cases it actually works out. When Bianci got fired from athletico the team started to win...but it is usually done out of pressure of the members and the savages of the platea...Ferguson from ManU I think has been there 20 years. That is probably the onl case I know of.

Well when a team isn't performing something has to be done, and it is easier to sack the coach than it is an entire team.

Estuvo apenas siete meses en el banco. Los pobres resultados y la mala relación con los hinchas definieron su final. "Puede volver Leonardo Astrada?

If you are thinking of firing of coaches in Argentina, one important reason is that of the short tourney. It usually happens that 6-7 fixtures into the tournament, there are a few teams, usually title contenders, that are already out of it. They won't be able to turn things around. Likely outcome: the coach will be fired and they will look for a replacement to start working for the next tournament. I would say that apart from Boca and River, which ought to be more prudent in this regard, every single team faces the prospect of losing their coach be it due to missing out on the title race, or facing relegation. Another issue is that most teams do not have in-breeding coaching systems, and you don't see very often a coach raised in the club (I can think of gatito Leeb). In these cases, at least the fans may be more forgiving. Otherwise, you always end up with the same ol' dinosaurios vende-humo de siempre.

Now if you talk about a season-long tourney, that's a bit different.

Well it appears the canidate for firing here is obvious......they gave him who he asked for and....disaster.....hold some more well i find that likely....is to hold out a good idea.....what is happening? Chemistry? Desire to give all not there? Confusion and passarella is not taking care of that at all....
