La Confederación Norte Centroamericana y del Caribe de Futbol dará a conocer el próximo martes de manera oficial, en su sede de Nueva York, los grupos y el calendario final de competición para la novena edición de la Copa Oro CONCACAF 2007.

El anuncio oficial del torneo se realizará a partir de las 2:30 de la tarde hora local (18:30 gmt) por medio de un vídeo que estará trasmitido vía satélite y colocado en la página de internet de la CONCACAF.

También está prevista media hora después una teleconferencia con los distintos medios de comunicación en la que va a participar el Secretario General de la CONCACAF, Chuck Blazer.

La Copa Oro, que se ha convertido en el torneo más importante de selecciones de la CONCACAF, disputará la novena edición desde que se comenzó en 1991.

La participación para la próxima edición será de 12 selecciones que representan a todo el fútbol de la región y en esta ocasión no habrá ningún equipo invitado.

La lista la encabezan las selecciones de los tres países que han ganado el título como son México (4), Estados Unidos (3) y Canadá; cuatro del Caribe (Cuba, Guadeloupe, Haití, Trinidad y Tobago) y cinco de Centroamérica (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panamá).

La Copa Oro se llevará a cabo del 6 al 24 de junio en seis sedes en los Estados Unidos.

La competición de la Copa Oro 2007 comenzará en el Orange Bowl de Miami el 6 de junio con a Final programada para llevarse a cabo en el Soldier Field de Chicago el 24 de junio.

Las otras cuatro sedes de la Copa Oro 2007 son el Giants Stadium en East Rutherford (Nueva Jersey), el Home Depot Center en Carson (California), el Reliant Stadium en Houston (Texas) y el Gillette Stadium en Foxborough (Massachusetts).

CONCACAF will announce on Tuesday (6 March) from its offices in New York City the final groups and schedule for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup™.
The announcement of teams and the full tournament match schedule will take place at 2:30 pm ET and be made via a video news release that will be available via satellite and online at www.CONCACAF.com.

This will be followed at 3:00 pm ET by a Media Teleconference Call with CONCACAF General Secretary, Chuck Blazer. Teleconference numbers as well as the satellite information for the video news release will be announced on Monday (5 March).

The 12 CONCACAF-team field for the ninth edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup™ is comprised of the previous champions (Canada, Mexico, USA), four Caribbean qualifiers (Cuba, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago) and the five Central American qualifiers (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama). The Gold Cup takes place from 6-24 June in six venues across the USA.

The 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup™ opens in Miami’s Orange Bowl on 6 June with the Final scheduled for Soldier Field, Chicago, on 24 June. The four other venues that will host Gold Cup games in 2007 are Giants Stadium (near New York City) in New Jersey, The Home Depot Center (near Los Angeles) in Carson, California, Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, close to Boston, Massachusetts.

Apologies if this is listed elsewhere, but I didn't see it...

CONCACAF will announce that groups and schedules for the 2007 Gold Cup on Tuesday, March 6 (http://www.concacaf.com/view_article.asp?id=3734).

Also, the first game will be held in Miami's Orange Bowl on June 6. And the Final will be held in Chicago's Soldier Field on June 24.

YES! The Asians have their own Asian cup 2007 forum and Copa America has their group forums, then we should have our own GOLD CUP 2007 FORUM. Dale MoRado!!! :D
