I will go to this game.

I would like to know the best place to get tickets? (prolly ticketmaster)

Which of you Chivas fans are going or DCU fans or whoever from BS?

Should I buy a Chivas jersey just for this match? (Puma fan here)

How would I find out what hotel the Chivas will be at?

and finally who is going to be my bodyguard during my stay of that Ghetto that is RFK? :D j/k

How about you buy a DC United jersey and join the Barra Brava? Then you can buy your ticket from them and won't need protection/bodyguard. Problem solved :D

Which is a good reason to buy a ticket from the Barra and stand with them/come and go with them from Estadio RFK. Strength in numbers. And to be honest it aint that bad. if a girl like me can make the trip by metro on her own .....

Ill pass on the DCU jersey

You'd look very strange in a mexican kit in the middle of a sea of black n red. :p

This should be a fun game to watch, unfortunately for DC were going to have to deal with all the Mexican heritage going on all over the place... bleh. Can't wait till DC gets its own smaller close quarter stadium so the throngs of people who don't support the club don't have an instant entry into the stadium.

Nah. Just wear your Mexico WC 98 away kit.I don't know if there is a joke I'm missing, but a serious question here.

Why wear a Mexican jersey at all (or joke about it)? When Pumas visited DC United 2 years ago, there were all sorts of Mexican jerseys and flags.

A club is a club. If I were to go to the away leg of this game, I'd be wearing black and a DCU scarf, not blue and waving a US flag. Similarly, I'd wear blue or red to a USMNT game, not my DCU stuff.

This is common in Soccer countries. I posted a pic of a fan wearing a Chivas jersey at the Sub20 Mexico game.

Chivas is an all Mexican club that represents the country and Mexican League. National pride is present. They do sing the National Anthem of said country as well at these types of events.

Im going to get my tickets today probalby

Any guess what attendance might be? You think the Goats will out number the home supporters?

doubt it. I think mostly Dominicans, cubans, el salvadorians, etc in DC not so much Mexicans, although there are a few.

New York is only four hours away. I bet a bunch of people come down to see the Goats.

I'll be there, but of course with La Norte... @ section 118.

yeah they will... sadly...

Man there thousands of Mexicans in VA alone... After Salvadoreans, they are next in population of Latinos... Plus I'm sure we will get a bunch of out-of-state-fans.

Chiqui, you can wear your jersey any where in the stadium without having to worry about a thing... Yeah, there will be strenghts in numbers and sadly for DC fans, it will be for Chivas....

Against Pumas, they came by the thousands, and even the upper deck had to be open...

We did get a lot of Mexican-non-Pumas fans and some did they did cheer against them... There were tons of Chivas/America/Cruz Azul jerseys out there too. I'm not sure about the whole Mexican Pride all cheer for Chivas thing... I'm sure we'll ge some that will definitely cheer against them.

Violence was not an issue against Pumas, sure we exchange words and "hand signals" but that was about it.... Hopefully the same will happen with Chivas fans...
