some of you may remember hearing about, or saw today on MLS Underground, a documentary film featuring Cladio Reyna dn his travails abroad.
You help is needed in helping to get the filmmaker a distribution deal (so you [but mostly] I can buy a DVD of the fill).

If we're looking for any distribution possible, doesn't Netflix now distribute its own DVDs? They might be a potential partner.
I'd definitely like to watch this documentary.

I just dug up the official websote for the movie. It hasn't been updated in a while but it does have a contact for the director, Brian Weidling, if you want to reach out to him.

I thought it was interesting to see that Robert Duvall narrates this film. I have heard that he is a big soccer fan. His wikipedia entry confirms this, although it doesn't mention any details...

And then of course there's Kicking and Screaming.
Wait, is that evidence for or against his being a soccer fan?

Is that the bass player from Seinfeld playing in the clip?

The "bass" player from Seinfeld is actually a keyboardist playing an exaggerated bass sound patch. It's becoming harder to tell the "real deal" from the sample nowadays.
Anyway, the clip has a network TV style IMO. Regardless, I'd still be interested in seeing it all. Would I buy it? Nah. I might, however, rent it from Netflix if it was released.
Respect for Reyna...

it may not be the best quality, but it seem like a very deep documetary on reyna.

I am impressed. The Seinfeld music is old enough though to easily tell that it is a keyboard and not the real deal.
That said, let's do what ever we can to keep putting soccer out there in the public eye.

Looks like some very good stuff.
Claudio's goal against Parma is one of my 5 best moments as a Rangers supporter.

I like this response in reference to raising the $100K needed to pay the footage rights...
You would think that all these big corporations that say they support soccer in this country and that they are committed to the sport...
The amount of money that was pissed away in marketing Freddy Adu... a smidgen of that could help showcase the best player we have ever had and get this documentary out to the fans. Freddy has a lot of promise but he is not Claudio and he hasn't proven himself on a world stage. I think it is the corporate crime of the century for soccer. Because Claudio was over in Europe and wasn't the pretty face that MLS and US Soccer were trying to build things around, the marketing dollars aren't there at the moment.

WTF? If you watch the clip, at 3:56, one of the Jamacain player just flat out punches Claudio in face. Who was that and did he get suspended (and what is his home address :D) ?
