Yesterday, I asked a question of Chris Bergin in his breaking rumours forum of www.ussocceruk.com

"Chris, please tell me at least one murmur is coming out of the Capital that United is frantically searching for a striker. To borrow a line - we couldn't score in a women's prison with a fistful of pardons."

This answer came from KPayne 3 hours later

"The team Ray has needs to show they want to play for the club before additions can be found."

I was thrilled that Kevin responded, but then Ken Wright reports this morning that we are interested in Dante.

I don't blame Kevin for saying what he said - we look great..............on paper.

It's easy to be wrong some of the time, but I think it's amazing the number of times he's right. He nailed the Grimandi thing recently and seems to get a hold of breaking stories when they are in their infancy. Because he reports them as soon as he is able, many fizzle out before fruition.

Wish there were more like him reporting on MLS rumors.
