I like the name Figo (and the player as well), but my non-footy-loving wife thinks it sounds like a dog's name. A middle name? I suggest. No way, says she.

I'm naming my first male child Theirry Henry. And my first female child's middle name is going to be Lanesra. No shame in naming a child after a footballer, I suppose, unless they suck, of course. I read an article on arseweb.com about this man who was the self-proclaimed "world's greatest Man. United fan" and named his child Mark Hughes. Not so bad, except that the child's birthday was the day of Hughes' sale to 'Pool. His poor father hadn't heard the news when he named him, and by the time he found out, it was too late. :D Good stuff.

I wonder if naming your kid "God" after Robbie Fowler is too much.

No harm in naming your child after a star. I personally don't think I'll ever do that. However, soon I'll recieve a Striped Boxer Pup. I think I'll name him Totti. That's a good name for a dog.

I missed my chance. My baby is 18 now, and I'm not doing it again. Maybe my grandkids. :)

My wife and I have a yellow neck parrot named Pele' and a bichon named Cobi.

Ironically, Cobi is better with the ball, but Pele' can really fly.

I wanted my son Gabriel because of the angle Gabriel (official version of the reason.... but probably 50% true).... it was more because of Batigoal.

Then, I had a daughter.... I named her after a NBA team.

I have a dog named Fowler, and he's very good at sniffing in a straight line.

A baby is due in December, and Owen is on the short list of boys' names. My wife actually likes the name, but she'd draw the line at Emile and Milan, I'm sure. I can picture posters of the boy wonder all over the little guys walls.

Dietmar? Not in the midwestern USA, thats for certain. Gerard and Gerrard are crap names, certain to get the kid beat on at school. Vladimir? Forget it. John-Arne? I've never thought about the crap names of the Liverpool players.

One poor kid in Liverpool got named after the WHOLE team after our first FA cup win.

Let's see, Ian, Ronny, Ray..etc. etc. would be about 38 years old now
and still not speaking to his dad.

Nuggets?

Sounds more appropriate for a boy, doesn't it?
