3 fatalities. Their bodies were found later in a river used for drainage.
This is barrio san antonio, zona 6. My mom used to live here. :eek:

I read this online... I thought nobody died?
Supposedly the land gave in... rotted pipe lines was the cause as the water slowly eroded the land from underneath. Neighbors complained to local authorities for weeks about weird noises coming from beneath but no one did anything. :(

The article says the hole is 330 ft-deep and that it's confirmed two teenagers died. :(
It also says the hole might get bigger...
But yeah, that thing looks friggin scary.

Me recuerda al temporal que tuvimos en Valpo. el '97. Creo que se rompieron una tuberias tambien, y colapso una calle (un "pasaje", mas bien) entera/o cerca de donde vivia yo (Cerro Alegre). Calcula las cosas que habian botadas ahi: cocinas enteras, sillas, etc, etc, etc....pero se veia el fondo al contrario de este. Llega a dar miedo.

Increible. Entre el ejemplo que diste recien y el reciente incendio en el casco historico de la ciudad (que ahora se sabe fue causado por fugas de gas en canherias muy viejas) dan a entender que son accidentes mas que evitables.

Uno de los senhores que mas entrevistaron (se le incendio su negocio/local) es el hno. de un amigo nuestro aca en NJ. Muy triste en gral.
