Since we have a little time to Saturday and things have been relatively quiet, with the excpetion of the Porto fans who swear their players dont dive and the Arsenal fans who swear we are the Evil Empire, so what does everyone think about the players from the relegated teams. We robbed West Ham a few years ago for a toilet theif and English midfielder, so will we do the same to find a bargain? Just my opinions here, so lets not get too offended alright.

I dont see Man City, Boro, Fulham or Villa going down so that really leaves Watford and West Ham (who I think are already down) and Charlton, Wigan, and Sheff Utd.

Watford- pick of the bunch would be Foster, but he is property of Manure and we really dont need another keeper at the moment as we probably wont play Reading again until next season. Cant see Foster staying and will probably end up with another Prem team soon. Marlon King would make a useful addition to someones squad or could provide depth for one of the bigger teams.

West Ham- plenty to pick from here, why are the going down again? They have two decent keepers in Carroll and Green, although neither would want to be thrid choice for us and one will probably stay with West Ham. Anton Ferndinand looks a good player at times and would be nice addition if he was wiling to play thrid/foruth fiddle to Terry, Carvs and Boula. He wouldnt and will probably end back up it in the Prem. Same with Reo-Coker (or Medi-core as the WH fans call him), Ethrington, C. Cole, Bowyer and Gabbidon. Boa Morte and Benayoun are both interesting players and I could see Liverpool snapping up one of the two (you know Rafa has nothing better to do). Tevez will gladly piss off somewhere else, most likely Spain and try to forget the entire experience. Now Harewood could be a nice addition for us, but I would most certianly prefer Ashton.

Charlton- Darren Bent, enough said. Although it would be a good laugh to see JFH run around (and I say that very liberally) in a blue shirt again. Carson is great as well, although I suspect he will return to greener pastures.

Wigan- Kirkland is the same as the other keepers. Wouldnt mind Baines to add to our growing collection of England left backs. Landzaat looks good from time to time. Camara could be a nice addition as a change of pace striker, although I dont think he would see eye to eye with JM.

Sheff Utd- Jagaielka, Kenny and Hulse. Cant see any of them playing for us, but possibly other teams in the Prem.

well, we need a CB and another striker, so it's Ferdinand and Bent for me.

Bent wouldn't be bad but he will cost too much even if Charlton are relegated. I think we should give Sahar time in the first team so we won't need any new strikers.

I'll take Anton Ferdinand and call it a summer.

We'll need a decent RB too. Can u see diarra fill it for the whole of next season?
We really should have tried to get Zambrotta this summer.

We really should have tried to get Zambrotta this summer.Ferreira and Johnson + Diarra is fine if Jose believes in them. I suspect we will sign Richards, though.

All good players, but we can't be speding serious cash and I really think we have to get richards. If we could get ferdinand cheap then maybe. I also like Bent obviously but hed be to expensive. FOr me Richards is the only move to make this summer

They aren't going down but Leroy Lita from Reading is a player.

As for a player from a relegated team...Harewood or Ashton would suit me fine. How about Konchesky as well?

Unless i'm very mistaken Lita was our player. He left the club at 16. Not that it matters now. It wont be easy bringing him in, especially if reading get europe.

I think maybe you're thinking about Leon Knight? I don't ever recall Lita in our youth ranks.

No? I heard that during the stamford bridge clash, when he scored against us The commentator said something like that. But i could be wildly of target.

I don't know about Konchesky. I mean, that would be 3 left backs, and he's not near the level of Cole or Bridge. Good crosser of the ball, but he's a bit suspect defensively IMO.

IIRC, Lita was a youth player who never made it to the first team.

I think he was in our junior system for a time, but left (was let go) before making the more senior levels.

I think Konchesky can play across the backline can't he?

Not to my knowledge. He can play left midfield as well, but I've not seen him anywhere but left back for Hammers and Charlton.

I could be wrong, though.

Konchesky is a nice player, but we have enough England left-backs.

PS: Lita left the club when he was 16, never got a professional contract.
