A couple of notes:
-I thought FSC got the 1st pick for the Saturday 10AM match? Why in the world would you choose Middlesbrough v. Newcastle over Arsenal v. Reading or the Fulham game with 3 Americans on the team?
-The Champions League game on Tuesday the 6th is on Setanta live at 2:45PM - its also on Internet PPV through Soccernet so make your plans...
-The FA Cup Quarterfinal v. Tottenham is on PPV on Sunday the 11th at 8:30AM ET. I would bet its $19.95, but not confirmed.

Through the quirks of league scheduling, we have a favourable time to play Pompey.
Had we played them a few months ago, we would have had a far tougher game than I expect to see this weekend.
We are teams going in opposite directions right now.
We're on a high, fresh from a cup win, they're starting t oslide, remembering the days of not letting in goals and winning match after match as if it were from another season.
Tony Adams was on sky just the other day, saying they had to stick together and show the proper mettle to get through their current run and come back strong for the seasons end.
Mourinho will take that famous American quote..."Just win baby"
We could win big here.

I'd start Robben and have him run right at Jonno for 90 minutes.

I haven't watched much of portsmouth but i can tell he and kanu have been their best players. I dont like kanu and benjani (i just cant get his name right)
up against essein. They are exactly what jose describes as "classic EPL strikers" and portsmouth are a threat in set pieces too.
I hope we can sneak one here and i'll go out of my way to wish liverpool luck this weekend.

Johnson didn't play list time (can't play against us) and IIRC Pamorat (sp) played at RB. Robben had a blinder but couldn't score. Playing Robben in the starting 11 is inevitable.

Portsmouth away is a tough fixture anyday. Dont think that Terry should be risked if he hasnt sufficiently recovered from the blow mentally or physically. So that would mean Essien at CB and Robben starting. Robben is going to to give a torrid time to Pomarat and moreover he seems to have a good understanding with Bridge and Sheva so expecting us to dominate the left flank. And hoping for 'pool to do us a favour, we need it.

Terry is gonna play, no doubt about it, so Essien will probably start in midfield. i think Ballack should be dropped...

I wish Jose'd just go and smash the 3-3-4 system again, i so long to see Robben fully back in action, but anyways its pretty evident Jose's miffed in love with Ballack and sees something in him that the rest of the world DON'T...

It's actually 4-3-3 and yes, ballack baffles me too.

I would like to see this:
---------------Cech----------------
--Ess----Riccy-------JT---Bridgey--
-----Diarra-----Maka----Lamps------
---Kalou--------DD-------Robben---
Subs:Carlo, Cashley, Bollocks, SWP, Sheva
It probably won't happen but you can always hope (if Mikel was available it would have been Mikel for Ballack on the bench).

Why is essein at RB? Diarra has impressed me a lot this season but him for essein is one step too much.
