Just wanted to respond to this from the previous thread,
What the hell does that have to do with Arsenal support in the US?
In America, no bandwagon is as large as Arsenals. Not Chelsea, not Man U (their wagon in the states was built long ago), not Barca, not anybody. Their popularity in the states is through the roof and many of their new supporters couldn't articulate the material difference between the touch line and the end line. The same goes for new supporters of many clubs, but in the US, Arsenal stands out, and not just to me. They can be both enthusiastic and ignorant, and that is never a good combination in any walk of life.
Ignorant yourself much? Do you know what it means to bandwagon? If you believe Arsenal are the current bandwagon team in the US, you must not have left your home in the last 4 years.
Arsenal like all successful clubs did have their bandwagon phase, back when we were #1 team in the league. After 2 years of coming 4th, and losing all of our big name players other than Henry, why would you ever think we would still be attracting bandwagoners?
Have you ever gone to watch soccer in public here? The number of chelsea and barcelona shirts has increased 10 fold in the last 2 years. This is not a knock against chelsea, it is a fact that comes with being successful.
If you think Arsenal are the current bandwagon team in the US, you are sorely mistaken.

Call yesterday a fight?!?

Don't really follow NHL so I dont know about this things but why weren't they separated earlier? I reckon Premiership players should follow this... stop the rushing in and let the two guys sort it out :D
They almost NEVER get separated in NHL ice hockey - I think it is part of the draw for folks, to be honest.
The two goalies (keepers ;)) fighting was a rarity, those boys never seem to get in on the action. :D

Just amazed that everybody just stood back and watched and the refs stood there like boxing referees :D

Here's to a good game you lot. The fight was all handbags and I appreciate Mourinho's gracious comments after the game. I'm gutted but obviously the difference was Drogba...you guys finished your chances, we didn't. End of story. :(

refs don't stop a fight unless a player goes down on the ice or there is severe blood. One of the reasons I love hockey.

I really have to agree with this. Yes, oh yes, there are plenty of Americans who are bandwagon arsenal fans but not nearly as many lately as their are Chelsea or Barca or Man U. Of all the people I know that follow soccer only a few are Arsenal fans and thats because I converted them:D. Most I would say are Man U fans because everyone knows Man U and also Barca because they have Ronaldinho and they won the UCL last season. I know a few who are new Chelsea fans, I asked my best friend from school why he was now a Chelsea fan and he said because they are the best in England. I am not really bothered by this because from people around the world who support English teams there has to be some reason why they pick a team and usually its because a team is good, just as long as they stay with that team and dont switch I think its ok.
Anyway, I just came over here to say that yesterdays match was a very good one and that I'm glad that Terry is ok, no one wants to see someone injured like that.

question to the decent Arsenal fans who read our forum.
I know you guys often refer to the team you put on the pitch yesterday as the "B" team or the "reserve" team or the "kids" team and that Chelsea put the most expensively assembled squad on the pitch, so no big deal to lose, why the big celebrations, why this and that. Well, I don't want to sound too insane, but I would bet a solid amount of money that the team you had on the pitch yesterday would do better than your "regular" team against us 8 out of 10 times. I'm sorry to say, but Chelsea did play your "regular" team once this season (Gallas, Toure, Henry and RvP were the ones missing I think) and that team was not as impressive as the one that played yesterday.
So, yes, that was not your regular team, but perhaps it was your better team, so Chelsea had to work hard to win and deserves to celebrate. It's not like we won 10-0 and celebrated like mad out there.
Just wanted to point that out.

I agree with you Yasik. I just can't see any other combination of the Arsenal team playing better than the one that did yesterday. Probably having Henry and Gallas would had make a difference but that's it.
"Gallas, Gallas, what's the score?". Take that you c**t!

Well also remember we were playing at the Bridge in that game too. I cant remember if Henry played in that one or not but I dont think he did. It took one of the goals of the season to tie us. Yes you did play better than us in that game but still. It also happened at a time when we werent playing great soccer. Our kids are great and can as we all saw yesterday hold their own with anyone in the world but they are not as good as our "A" team. Im also getting tired of people saying that we should just play our kids the rest of the season.

Completely agreed, there are a couple changes I would have made, but clearly the CC side is much more in form at the present.
I am glad to see Terry will be fine, that was the most important thing...
Congratulations on the win, the match was a an absolute cracker, hopefully there will be much more of those in the future.

I agree with yasik too.
I'd honestly like to see arsenal A vs arsenal B.

Football's a funny game. We were absolutely awful in the first half - looked like we didn't care at ALL. And it showed - Arsenal had the perfect side to play against us - a group of hungry, fast players. Its exactly the perfect side to play against an older group of midfielders and a defender fresh off an ankle injury. And we suffered for it - had not Drogba scored (with what was a very close offside decision that depends entirely on which part of Drogba's and Senderos's bodies you look at), we may well have conceded a second.
But that being said, Arsenal played their first team against PSV, a side we'd all agree is inferior to Chelsea. And they proceeded to lose.
