It has high chances of being a bad match, considering that clubs will be in the middle of the season, so they'll probably call up really bad old players. Despite that, I think I might go see it. I'm going to watch the episodes in April to see which players will come. If there is any good player coming, I say all us LA-Area BigSoccer people should go.
I hope this ends up being a good match.

if it's anything like the reto final between the us and mexico, where basically george contacted the americans a few days before the game while contacting the mexicans months in advance so they can prepare, it's definitely going to suck.

Okay, so reto final Mexico V. Usa was about a rematch from series of games during WCQ's for France 98. Right?
Now, what is the "rematch" here? Are they just playing for no reason?

well these reto final matches have to do with mexican pride, since they can't beat us under normal circumstances they wait till our players, or the majority of them are either dead or fallen off the wagon. If George sense that our players don't play at all anymiore than he probably tells the mexicans so they can get ready and once they are ready than he contacts our guys and lets them know. It's kind of ************ substitute for a real game under competition circumstances, it's kind of like substituting eating at red lobster for eating at taco bell.

Well, it seems as if they've changed locations.. Fox Sports updated their website and it now says:
Qué: El Reto Final Nissan
(México v Argentina)
Dónde: Robertson Stadium, Houston, TX
La revancha entre México y Argentina encuentra su trasfondo en los siguientes eventos, historia común de estas dos naciones:
Copa América: Junio 20 1993 - Arg: 1, Mex: 1
Final Copa América: Julio 4 1993 - Arg: 2, Mex: 1
Copa América: Julio 10 2004 - Arg: 0, Mex: 1
Copa Confederaciones: Junio 26 2005 - Arg: 1(6), Mex: 1(5)
Mundial Alemania: Junio 24 2006 - Arg: 2, Mex: 1
Oh well.. I'm not too sad.. I bet you the match would have sucked and I wouldn't have attended anyway. :D

I like the results, they beat us one time and they think they have a rivalry with argentina. Last night I saw a program where the mexican commentators were talking about the virtues of their wrestlers vs the american wwf wrestlers, you can't imagine the stupidity they come up with, I swear man, mexicans are the most envious and jelous people in the world, shat the whole music and culture revolves around getting cheated on and screwed over. They are pissed because american wrestlers are more fit, make more money and look much tougher than a fat dude wearing a stupid mask.

It is called "Making a Buck," it has nothing to do with competition (no federation is involved here.) They probably did quite well in the MEX-USA game and they want to lure more suckers to the stadium by getting a high profile team. I am surprised they chose Argentina instead of Brasil, which leads me to believe that they already have some big name Argentine player clinched.

hahaha I saw that movie I laughed my ass off. Sorry if any mexicans are offended, it's not my intention it's just that some of their sports commentators are fanatical and have no objectivity whatsoever.

I hate to say this but I agree with you.
What rivalry? So the last few times we met it was close and they won once? Since when does that constitute rivalry? Argentina Brazil- THAT'S A RIVALRY.

all of latin america suffers the same when it comes to monetary policies and getting screwed by the world bank and corrupt politicians. argentinas economy has actually been picking up if you didn't know.
and what exactly do we have to be jealous of? your soccer? call us when you actually win something that matters.
oh and racist? you are some kind of idiot. the last time i checked, mexican, just like argentine was a nationality.

I think the only rivalry they can talk about would be more at a club level but even there, their best players are hardly mexicans, America has salvador cabanas, (paraguayan) pachuca has about 6 south americans, all of them starters, like chilindrina alvarez and chaco gimenez, Toluca also, has another paraguayan, I think his name is valdez, was the player of the match against boca the other day, the coach, Tolo Gallego thank you. Argentine teams also have foreigners but they are hardly our most important players, Falcao is not nearly as important as Farias up front, Boca's bobadilla is a Sub, and clemente rodriguez is a sub also. The goals scored today by banfield were all done by argentineans while america's goals were scored by the paraguayan cabanas, without him they don't have a prayer it seems. Also when it comes to tournaments, Mexico all it has so far is a copa sudamericana, that's after participating for ten years, since 98 in south american tournaments. Out of the five sudamericanas played so far, argentine teams won it three times, all the squads had a majority of argentine players on the field at all times, and their most important players are always argentines. Pachuca, played the last final with mainly south american players, and indeed they were the most important players they had : gimenez, alvarez, caldero etc....in the libertadores, since mexicans participate, Argentina teams made it 4 times to the final, mexican teams only once. Even teams from colombia and paraguay have won it. Imagine if conmebol decided to invite American teams to the tournament also(which I think they should do), they seem to dominate mexican sides like nothing to it. Than they would have even a harder time. With all this in mind it's hard to imagine a rivalry with Mexico. They are tough sides and they do beat the heck out of our teams a lot of times, but in the end, their bubble bursts, till they don't win something of importance it's hard to talk much and a lesson in humility is the best course for them.

Too true.
They can look at the teams with respect, as they should for all the teams they play but that doesn't mean that those teams should start growing an ego because they win A few matches
Winning against a few teams from argentina with a huge amount of foreigners does not = trophy.
ps I'm pretty sure clemente rodriguez is argentino.

Actually, Josemir Lujambio scored two of the Banfield's 3 goals and he's from Uruguay. :D
