Gabriel Batistuta's agent has denied that an agreement has been reached with arab team Al Arabi to acquire the former Argentina international.

Argentina sports newspaper Ole and French sports newspaper L'Equipe had reported that the 34-year-old forward had signed a one-year contract with the Arab team. "We have had conversations with teams in Qatar, Dubai and England but there is nothing concrete, he has not signed a contract with any team," Batistuta's agent Settimio Aloisio told PA International.

hoy radio Unica tenia debate sobre la propuesta:

son 5 millones por el primer año, y 2.5 para el segundo año, se preguntaban que posibilidad existia de decir NO a tanta plata en tan poco tiempo.

I-I'm gonna move down to Florida.
And I'm gonna bowl me a-a perfect game.
I'm gon' cut off my leg down in Florida.
And I'm gonna dance one-legged off in the rain.

Well they say that Sidney Poitier was a blind man.
And they say that LBJ was a Soviet Jew.
I said that when I go down to Florida [ways],
They're ain't no kind of sexual healing that I would not, should not,
or could not do, except this right here:

Well I'm movin' down to Florida.
And you know that I'm gonna hafta potty train the chairman Mao.
And I'm gonna make the governor write my doodoo a letter, child.
And then I'm gonna grind me a White Castle slider out of India's sacred cow.

Well, I'm goin down to Florida, child.
And I'm gonna build me the atomic bomb.
I'm gonna hold time hostage down in Florida, child.
Ain't nobody - ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do. Stepchild.

By this time I guess you've figured out about Florida.
Turn the muddy water into Vaseline stains.
They be makin' tadpoles the size of Mercuries in Florida.
That be tellin' Julio Iglesias what to sing, now.
Well, whoever said that Sidney Poitier was a blind man,
Knew the same of Elvis Presley, too.
'cause all the sausages that dance like Ray Bolger on the hood of a car in a traffic jam
Know just exactly.. what to do. Right here:

Well I be goin' to Florida.
Pole cats sit back in the Seminole sand.
You know when I'm in Florida,
Just like Vince, I want it all.
Well I went down to Florida.
I got hurt.
So I took all the children down to Florida.
We start to get down in the dirt.
Well I'm never going back to Florida
That's why I'm movin today
When I settle down in Florida,
I'm gonna explode the whole damn Tampa Bay.
Get that boy to Florida,
And teach him what to do.

No pot. I was just channeling out lord and savior Gibby Haynes. JC is overated.

Ten foot tall and the nurse stuck a needle in my arm
Well Uncle Doc's nurse use a needle with ungodly charm
Walkin' down the hall the dentist loomed through the door
I Saw an X-Ray of a girl passing gas
The one shot theory got a query [things got rolling at last]/[through the hole in her ass]
Hey, hey hey daddy, why die in the war
Jesus Hitler Buddha Santa Mary Klaus Barbie Christ more
Well [Ben] got arrested and the sky was the ocean that day
The words got twisted and history didn't know what to say
God dog sex death life now I'm feeling old
These images were conjured up by talking on the telephone
I Saw an X-Ray of a girl passing gas

Oh my God it seems like just the other day
But it might have been one hundred years before
And I know there is no other way
We only have to wonder what it's for

Oh my God it seems like just the other day
But it might have been one hundred years before
Well I know there is no other way
We only have to wonder what it's for

Pues no me extraña, si Batigol quiere seguir jugando y no tiene chance en otro lado, además le ofrecen una fortuna... Valgame Dios que los árabes están pilas, le están dando a los jugadores lo que les niegan en otros la´os.

I know sooner or later he's going to sign but NOT YET!

BATIGOL'S DUBAI DEAL NOT DONE

Who? - Gabriel Batistuta
Where is he? - Free transfer
Who is linked to him? - Al Ahly, Chelsea

A sign of the financially-cautious times in world football is that legendary Argentine goal-machine Gabriel Batistuta is currently unemployed. A couple of years ago, he would have been snapped up long before his loan spell at Internazionale finished, but clubs are having to seriously consider whether they can afford to sign him. Of course, some of that is down to his age and poor form in recent seasons, but with his pedigree there are many clubs around Europe who would have been interested. However, his agent has denied claims that a deal has been agreed with Saudi giants Al Ahly: "We have had conversations with teams in Qatar, Dubai and England but there is nothing concrete, he has not signed a contract with any team," Batistuta's agent Settimio Aloisio said. Batistuta has been strongly linked with a move to England, and has stated a desire to play in the Barclaycard Premiership. Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri revealed that he wants to take Batigol to Stamford Bridge, but whether he can convince the debt-ridden club to pay high wages for a 34-year-old remains to be seen.

He's going to Qatar.I'm disappointed with Bati, although i'm a huge fan of his. It's going to be long time before we a striker with his power and knack for finding the goal.To finish a great career in the middle east of all places is absurd. He squandered his career by staying at a middle of the table team(Fiorentina)instead of going to a big team with big aspirations.

As fernandez said he is going after Petro-dolares, I think he already signed for that Qatarian team.

"Batistuta said that he has always dreamed of playing in the Middle East, and now his dream has come true."

Anyone find this comment as amusing as I?

¿QUEEEEE?

No, I don't think I'm his friend, but I might know him. At the computer class where I work I found BigSoccer in the history and took a look. It was a link to biosoccer's personal messaging (unaccessible so don't you worry), so he might be someone who I see around here every now and then, but don't know who.
