I would like players like A. Vela, Correa, Esquivel, Margarito, Cervantes, and Diego de la torre get a chance later on with a Tri. Most of them are still young.
La lista esta bien en mi punto de vista.

Ladies and Gentlemen are you serious with this list.
With this list, it can seriously and undoubtedly be demonstrated that with the inclusion of Paco Palencia and Israel Lopez(Cruz Azul), he has no confidence in his forwards, but in the youth talent that Mexico has to offer.
Why not rescue Ever Guzman(Forward, who was the U-17 champion in Peru 2005 or a Landin)? But with Palencia, who will not even be considered for the next World Cup, Hugo Sanchez is beginning to succumb to the same stupidity as Lavolpe.
However, I am very delighted to see Juan Carlos Medina and Cacho on this list. They both have caused a great impression during this season. Expect for Guardado(Who should have been in Europe by now) to start this time. Finally!

guzman is playing somewhere in the third or fourth division, isn't he? why would he get called to the national team?
The national team isn't a place to develop talent, it's a place for team for the best of the country.
that being siad, i am so/so about this list, i like ochoa, corona, magallon, viades, pino, perez, arce, medina, guadado, and cacho. hopefully they'll do the best they can with the shot they're given.
i don't like: bernal, israel castro, beltran, morales, lopez, and palencia... but given that he can't get the players he wants from necaxa, toluca, america, chivas, and pachuca, i can't complain too much.

Agree, but with players like Ever Guzman and Villaluz, you cannot have them rot on the bench. The coaches in Mexico depends way too much on foreign talent. I am not saying that foreigners should not play in Mexico, but they should now attempt to limit the number of foreigners to three. It is not just in Mexico, but every league on this planet should have at least three foreigners on the field, so that each country can develop its national talent. Oh, by the way, you say that a national team should not be used to develop
talent, well, look at Daniel Pasarella when he coached the Argentine national team prior to France '98. He would basically call up players who were not even starters and some of them have gone to Europe.
I think Hugo has to start thinking about the future and not be a Zen Buddhist, who thinks in the now with Palencia and Fonseca.
I just don't think

Do not worry about Hugo calling Palencia, Tronko, Torrado, Israel Lopez *sigh* Beltran and Gerardo Galindo (Borgetti and Bravo for that matter). If the guy wants to keep his job, he will stop calling them, cause all of them suck, and mnt wont get good results.

Just 3 strikers?
Anyway, if you ever doubt Hugo REALLY needs to win games really fast in order to save his job, this is your second proof.
Calling his old buddies like Bernal or Castro, hell, Fonseca, who are really NOT NT caliber at least right now (and in Bernal's case, should pass an Alzheimer test) clearly means the guy needs cronies to save his a$$.
I wish they win.

There was a prior agreement between la directiva de Chivas and Hugo to limit his call-ups because of schedule congestion with the CONCACAF Cup. Ostensibly concerned number of players and not which particular players, 3 players according to this article, but I'm sure Chepo made it clear that losing Bofo, Bravo, and Medina in one fell swoop wouldn't have made him too happy.
Similar arrangements existed with the other teams playing international tournaments next week, Toluca, Necaxa, América, and Pachuca.

But with Palencia, who will not even be considered for the next World Cup, Hugo Sanchez is beginning to succumb to the same stupidity as Lavolpe.
It's more complex than that.
Like others have pointed out, he's limited in who he can call-up. It's always good to have veterans around, guys that know the ropes.
Palencia has played decent ball for the last 18 months. He was one of the most vocal and reasonable critics of Lavolpe, refusing to kiss his ass in order to secure a spot in '06.
I really like Palencia's attitude about Mexico. I find it far more realistic, far more holistic than Hugo's. Hugo believes that Mexico can reach the next level, so does Paco. The difference is that Paco knows that anybody can knock off Mexico on any given day, while Hugo looks down on inferior opponents. Paco's got the right attitude, and he's a consummate professional.

I respect Paco b/c he's a very good player, he's a professional and he's got a great attitude. I also deeply respect that he refused to kiss Lavolpe's ass.
