no rev's content, BUT this would probably be the best forum to post this on BS...

does/has anyone participated in this organization? it's part of the nationwide America Scores program [http://www.americascores.org/]. i'm considering volunteering for part of this upcoming summer.

Soccer New England has worked with the NE SCORES folks a number of times. Geoff Walker, formerly of the Crusaders, Bulldogs and maybe a few other local teams, is the athletic director and a very good person to work with. I think, if you're so inclined, working with SCORES is a great way to use your time. They are one group who is really promoting soccer at the grass roots level. In fact, they're beneath the roots. They're in the soil.

I went to a benefit show for them a few years ago. The Rock Bottom Remainders played (Stephen King, Dave Barry, Amy Tan, etc.). John Harkes was involved with it in some way.
I know this probably isn't too helpful but that's all I've got.

New England Scores is a great organization. The kids and staff really appreciate whatever time you can donate. I would recommend volunteering.

thank you all for your input! i'm surprised the Revs havent worked with this organization [or have they?]. if i'm a Rev staffer, i see a great marketing/soccer promotion opportunity here.
