Terry will be out...

i really don't want to make any predictions here. Even though Arse will field a team of "youngsters" (i put youngsters in quotation marks b/c I do not consider them youngsters when it comes to Carling Cup), they are solid. Missing Terry will be a big plus for Arse. I think our team struggles w/out Terry not only b/c of his presence in deffense, but more so b/c of his leadership. I honestly don't think Lampard is nearly as inspirational as Terry. I'd honestly rather give it to someone else.

 Uhh ?
To be honest, Terry won't be missed that much against us. We rely on pace and movement and Essien (who I guess will play in his place) is quick, energetic and keen and I think he'll do alright.
I have no idea which way this game'll go, but it should be v. entertaining

^Disagree completely. We need positioning against an Arsenal team that plays countless one-twos through the back four around the top of the box. Rosicky's runs off of Cesc, Yabadabadoo, and Wankry will catch Essien and Carvalho out. Terry is so good at making the last ditch tackle and that will hurt us quite a bit, IMO.

When Terry is out, Chelsea loses its chemistry. When Frank puts on the skipper armband, I do not see the same inspiration and hunger in his eyes as I do when Terry is on the pitch. Why do you find this so hard to believe?
edit......and now I see why the confusion.

since Rosicky didn't play in the Carling Cup games, shouldn't he be out of this game?

Ahah, I see what you meant! Agreed, Terry is one of those captains that is worth more than his ability. In the same mould as a certain Mr Adams

Wenger said he's only going to play those that have taken part at some point. To be honest this includes pretty much everyone in the squad less Henry, Gallas and Lehmann...
Rosicky has played, so he's eligible by Wenger's rule, but I dont think he'll start.

Ali and Baptista will most certainly start, Adebayor should be on the bench.

Here's the bottom line......if the score stays 0-0 after 1st half, it will favor Arse as Wenger will start bringing in the regulars. If we score 1st in the 1st half, we will most likely win.

Arsenal can't even handle PSV without Farfan, Affelay Kluivert and a bunch of other guys... their endless passing won't get them anyware.

I think when Terry is out we miss his organization and command of the back 4 the most.
When he isnt there, its like gaps and holes open up left and right that you would never see with him in there to run things. We go from being one of the best defenses in the world to being run ragged like a disorganized youth team

Tobe fair, and I was watching 2 games at once, but from what I saw, PSV hardly ever threatened and scored a goal that was completely against the run of play
