Anyone have any idea how long the US will keep the current kits, obviously they will change before before Germany '06, but do you think that they will keep them through out qualification?
I wish they would go to the system they have with the England kits that have dates attached to how long they will be around, but then again the demand there is just a bit larger.

umm i dont know how to tell you this but the US jersey is the hardest to find in the world - they didnt make enough - demand far far outweighs supply - if you are lucky enough to pin one down itll likely cost you $95+ - dont know about when the new one will come out... sometime during the qualifying if i had to guess

Some Champs Sports stores have the replicas now.
And another thing:
The white "fan jersey" that was given to the halftime shooters at the WNT-Canada game was also seen worn on the sidelines of the MNT-Mexico game.
It is the white shirt with the broad blue diagonal stripe (kind of like the 1950 jersey).
When will it appear in the US Soccer Store? Anybody? Crickets?

Pretty much all international kits are on 2 year rotation (barring kit supplier change). Just think of it this way - European countries get new uniforms for WC and Euro, and USA follows the same schedule.
So the current jersey will probably be around until next spring, when they will release the design that will be around through WC qualifications and early 2006.

It is very strange that they don't seel US jerseys at the US soccer official store (ussoccerstore.com) but I went to soccer.com and they have the white and blue jerseys for $69.99, I am probably going to get the white one.

The US jerseys are currently available (I saw both the blue and the white kits in a Soccer Masters store in KC last month). The throwback white shirt with the blue diagonal stripe made its appearence in January at the US/Canada men's game (just check our photo collection from the game).
I would expect the MNT to change jerseys prior to the beginning of qualifying, then again before WC06. Part of the change is driven by the continuing evolution of fabrics, but it is mostly driven by commercial demands - in other words, getting suckers like us to buy new jerseys every two years.
I do know that the US Women will be unveiling their new jersey at their upcoming game in Utah against Ireland.

Yeah - I'd be shocked if they continued with the 2002 WC jerseys into qualifying. But just imagine how cool we'll be when we show up in those jerseys and the newbies have to settle for the latest design. :)

Are they going to do what the Russians did last year and wear the men's?

In truth, Max Bretos brought those shirts last summer to the set of The Worst Damn Sports Show Period and handed them out to the cast.

Regarding the ussoccer.com store.....
I know this is slightly off topic, but has anyone else noted how slow the ussoccer.com store is at replacing their out-of-stock items? I would think that based on the response they got last summer, even though it was during the world cup run, hey would see the web site as a premier selling outlet and fully stock it to maximize profits. If this is too far off topic please feel free to chastize me in any way.

Well, if you arrange them in a certain way you can make a flag - 50 shirtless guys acting as stars.
