Would it be a good idea to get player-size printing on my new United shirt if I'm a medium, or would it look over-sized?

I have GILBERTO 19 in the old EPL player sized font on my size Small Arsenal shirt, and it looks fine. The new font is smaller, so I'm sure it will look fine.

No, it should look fine. Some players wear medium tops and it looks OK.

R&W, having seen the replica size numbers on people's shirts at the match on Saturday, I think the numbers are bigger, and the letters look bigger due to their boldness and so on.

What players wear medium?!...... Nevermind, I just thought of Darren Fletcher.

I think the new numbers are significantly bigger, whereas the letters are quite a bit smaller. I'm not sure I like that as much. No matter, the new printing's going to take a while for me to get used to anyway. There was something very distinct about the old stuff, and it's one of the first things that comes to my mind when I think of the Premiership.

Does the Lextra priniting always have the plastic layer saying 'lextra'?

How can I tell if a name plate, that still has plastic on it, is in fact lextra? The kind I have received is very thin, and the detail is too good to seem like lextra.

Also, if it is artex, then how can I tell if it is real or not?

Hello mate

The new lextra lettering should always carry the lextra plastic film on top of the letters. If it is a clear film and no lextra logo, it won't be lextra. Lextra is basically the name for the material which is a felt like flock material.

The new letters individually have lextra on the plastic on them but some companies attach it to a template that is curved so you don't have to arrange letters yourself but even so the letters should have lextra over them.

If you've got very thin letters and no lextra on your carrier, you've probably been sold the non-lextra items. Probably still real but not lextra just the PU Art-Tex stuff. Post a picture and I'll have a look if you like.

Feel like a little bit of an expert now due to burnt fingers in the past.

Big Skizz, did you ever find out where to buy the Euro 2008 patch??

No. The only place I can think of is Subside, have you emailed them to see if they are going to get it in?

They said nope. Where did that pic of the lextra one come from?

eBay IIRC. They do have a few people selling them but you want to make sure you get the Lextra one because the others are fake and pants.

Those are all fakes on that seller. Some are pretty impressive like the new Premier League but the World Cup one is definately fake as is the others.

I guarantee those aren;t real.

JJB are actually doing the premier league patches now (I think thats a first!) they will apply both patches for £5.00 which isnt bad. I don't think they have the champions patches for the United shirts just the standard league ones.

Yeah I saw that, they still sell that plastic lettering though and I think the patches are the small replica ones. I wish no one had ever told me about player size as that's all I want on my football shirts now. This becomes an expensive habit but it looks sooo much better.

Hmph...was going to order from that Wiggy Sports today because Subside said it would take two weeks to deliver the numbering and so on. So went onto WS to order, and to get ADEBAYOR 25 along with Premiership Patches would be £27. I can get a bloody Arsenal jersey for that much, and Subside is £10 CHEAPER!!

Needless to say I did not place said order...

are they charging by each letter?

if so, i can see how a name like adebayor can get that expensive.
