The more i see it the better i think it looks like i said. I just dont think it suits striped shirts too well because the font isnt bold enough.

Well I remember a few years ago when Newcastle had their ntl: kit, and tried to get away with putting black letters and numbers on the back of it! Didnt work, and that was why they brought in the bright blue letters and numbers, and also allowed other teams to stretch the colour boundaries a bit.

I like the gold numbering!

Remember when Newcastle had that shirt with the terrible sheild on the back to try and conquer that problem?!

Yup yup...when Alan Shearer was partnered by the ever moustached Ian Rush!

Does anyone else find the lil previews of shirts a bit tacky? I mean perhaps if every team did it, but when a few teams play in 08 shirts and others stay in the 07.....
Although guess it makes the sheff u shirt a collectors item, 1 game only (not that u'd wanna be reminded of that day if u were a fan!)

True...somehow I think everyone will be wearing the new numbers though.

Well apparently some clubs would be wearing the new numbers (if they have new shirts) and some clubs would be wearing the old numbers (who don't have new kits). Although this isn't true as places like Subside Sports have already sent back their old Chris Kay lettering in return for new stock.

Slightly off topic, but here are the Lextra patches Chelsea and Manchester United will have on their sleeves on Saturday:

Even if they don't have new shirt designs for 07/08 they would STILL have shirts with the new font. It's not like they use the same shirts from season to season, let alone every few matches!

Exactly! I dunno, just think the FA are waffling again...

Does anybody know the name of the font used for the new EPL lettering or who´s the designer of it?
Thanks in advance.

It's a specially designed font, they wouldn't just get it off Microsoft Word or something. It is distributed by Chris Kay, don't know who the designers were though.

I believe Chris Kay (and Metrosport for that matter) have in-house designers.

why would they hire an in-house designer? its pointless cause they are only used once a year! itll be some company!

Chris Kay and Metrosport don't exist for the sole purpose of making Premiership numbers, their designers can do other things you know...

I went to the Emirates Stadium for the match against Chelsea and I got my kit printed and they had the new numbers and letters...here's a pic of what they look like on an Arsenal kit...the only thing is I printed my own name on it so it might lack an authentic look to most of you hehe. http://photos-267.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v75/207/7/732050152/n732050152_403267_4092.jpg

Hmmm ... i think the white just needs a black border around it something to make it stand out. It just looks a bit fake at the minute but i suppose thats because im not used to seeing it.
