This may seem like an odd concept, but I look to alot of players for inspiration when I'm training. Often times when I've felt exhausted, I think of a player like Cesc and think 'how do you think he got so far in football - through hard work'.
Also, I keep my shirts in top condition and want to build up a collection that I can pass onto my kids one day. I just feel that the shirts are devalued a bit.
And besides, I don't like my surname and I don't feel like putting my nickname on my shirt either.

It's kinda gone like the US now, I mean back when personalisation first came to these shores (u shud c how cheapo my club shop Man U "Giggs" looks from the season b4 they had names on prem shirts) it didn't look right, now I can't look at unprinted shirts without thinking they themselves are a bit tacky, especially international ones now they have front no's, imagine NBA or NFL jersey's blank! Just don't look right...

Well Nba jerseys and things like that are prettty much made for the player, they really don't sell them blank. Fo rlike soccer the names aren't a focal point in the same way.

I dunno, I mean I reckon places like Sport Soccer that sell generic prints prolly do better than plain shirt sales, like I mean im sure lots of peeps bought a Cristiano shirt NOT a portugal shirt....

Agreed :p
Also I see some people around here in NYC they have shirts with prints like:
ESC
101
Or just crazy things the problem is most of the MLS kits are over priced with prints I think

Does anybody know if I can iron the Premier League patches on the adidas 3 stripes that are sew on the Liverpool jersey's sleeves??? I'll really appreciate any help...

That annoys me a little, mainly because I want to get a Simao or a Maniche shirt but they only have Ronaldo ones. You can barely even get a plain Portugal shirt.

You could here. During the world cup there were LOADS! home and away. The only 'Hero' shirt they did was Ronaldo 17 though.
juanjo_ecuador You should be able to Iron the patches on. But i think with the liverpool shirt because the adidas stripes are raised it might prevent the patches from sticking on properly. I think if you could find somewhere that did shirt printing for you and could actually print them on at the right temp etc, rather than you just holding an Iron on it for a minute at a time you'd be ok. My friend has patches on his Liverpool shirt and they have stayed on fine. But he did get them done properly.

In the US Niketown was carrying blank Portugal shirts (might be at the outlets now). They (at least in Seattle) don't do any printing, which really angers me. The US away shirt has a big space in the front stripe for a number and I think it looks horrible blank. How can they sell it that way????

That's exactly why I got the home US Jersey when it was at an outlet. I have found some Simao shirts on ebay. They are nice. I know what I'm getting inro on ebay so I'm cool with it.

I found this person selling this Arsenal shirt on ebay...and it was bought from JJB...does that printing surprise you? Its curved instead of straight and its wrongly spaced aswell!

Hahaha,
They are a bit rubbish from my past experiences. They have either put the name and number too high on the shirt or too low, they put it too low especially if you have just a number. Even if you explain to them you never want to have a name on the shirt so don't bother leaving a space for it!
On my Giggsy shirt, the united shirt has like a semi circle of stitching under the collar, and they actually put the Giggsy over that. So i was worried it was going to rip or split.
Personally. For the price JJB charge sometimes i think i'd rather pay the extra and get it done at the club shop of your team because at least you know thats how its meant to be done.
I mean, to be fair on JJB most of the kids that work there arent interested in sport its just a Saturday job, both my friend worked there and they weren't in the least bit interested in anything slightly sporty, so they wouldnt know if an Arsenal shirt was meant to have straight or curved lettering unless the customer told them. I think they just go with all the other stencils they get as a guideline.

Unacceptable! They have a full brochure of guidelines of each lcub and how it should be done etc etc etc, they should have 1 or 2 trained staff that can do it properly...
Still, even the pro's get it wrong, remember the Crouch 12/21 England jersey! I saw some kid who'd had it done the same deliberately, maaaad props!
