The Redbulls look good. I think this year though I'm going to pull for any team that is entertaining and right now Colorado, DC untied and TFC seem to fit the bill.

Real Salt Lake- Still a stupid name. Does Utah have a lot of Spanish history or something?

No, it was the owner's attempt to create a relationship with Real Madrid. It worked. The friendly against Madrid last year is the only time we've sold out the entire stadium (~45k) which brought a good amount of money into the area which helped us gain support for our stadium efforts which eventually worked. Plus we're going in with them for a youth academy.

And yes, this makes our owner a shrewd whore. But he's our shrewd whore.

Regardless, we're pretty bad. The only thing we can say in our short existence is that we've yet to win a wooden spoon. Heck, the only reason I'm for them is because I live here right now.

The La Galaxy may be the worst soccer team I've ever watched on any level. Check that Sunderland 2005 is the worst the Galaxy are a close second.

Did the owner know that Real Madrid aren't the only team to have "Real" attached to their name?

Go with DCU. They are well organized and have great supporters...always competitive as well.

Or you could hold out for Seattle expansion no?

I would go with Chicago Fire.
1st, they are the closest to you MN. you know support your fellow Midwestern side.
2nd, they did The Double the first year of existance.
3rd, great support diverse crowd, in a nice SSS.

but im bias, I'm a Fire supporter.

I think people telling other people who to root for is overrated.

I don't think he did, he used to run Madison Square Garden and went on a European tour with the Knicks who played RM's basketball team...I think it's the only "soccer" name he knew.

The bad thing is they just ruin the games they play. I won't watch them anymore Becks or no.

yeah OK a bit late but WTF:

After watching Toronto shred Chicago this past weekend I may be leaning vaguely in their direction...Also netx time anyone slags the EPL for being overly physical I'll just point to the MLS and call them bat shit loony.

Just wait 2 years and become a St. Louis fan ;)

I liked watching the Gals play DCU...it made me feel as though I could have a future in MLS. :)

Or a Seattle supporter.

It'll never happen, but I wish MLS would institute relegation/promotion so the Sounders, Battery, etc. could play with the "big boys."

The Revolutions are a great team to support. New england fans (all sports) are some of the best fans.

That depends on your perspective...

Red Sox fans are loyal, but can be annoying as all hell. Here in central PA, there are almost as many Red Sox fans as Phillies fans, which is very disturbing. Everyone's hopped on the Red Sox bandwagon, which is funny considering true Red Sox fans hate everyone who hopped on the Yankees bandwagon.

The Red Sox are the new Yankees/Dallas Cowboys/Manchester United. At least Patriots fans tend to stay in New England.
