Us footie fans need to stick together. (even the ones that have unsavory political leanings:D)
You going to the Barca game?

You going to the Barca game?Oh hell yeah. Barca by far is the team that gives me the most pleasure to watch on a weekly basis. I'm also going to see Chelsea but that will be just another chance to drink with the ECS. TBH I'm not a big fan of mid season friendlies I would prefer to see a league or cup match but the Barca match is going to be special.
Big news tonight if Portland Timbers win in the Open Cup since the winner plays Sounders next. This is huge and it's likely to be hosted in PDX so a massive road trip is in the works. Seriously we may bring 2k or 3k down at least. They hate us by the way.

So special I'll be there, which was why I asked. I'll be in the third deck though. :o

I can't wait until PDX and Vancouver are in MLS. We'll show the rest of the country how rivalries are done. :D

Ya, I'm jealous. Im down here in tampa were we do not have anything. Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver should be a showcase rivalry when they get in the league.

The stories some of the boys have from Portland away during the USL days are rather eye opening to say the least. The Vancouver rivalry is more friendly but still fairly big. MLS is not going to know what hit them these rivalries go back to the 70's.

I'm a DCU fan but i watch sounders games all the time. I am very impressed with fans and the atmosphere at the games. Im with the Barra Brava and i wish RFK was that packed and that loud every game. I will for sure make a trip up there someday.

Nice, should be a good atmosphere.
Besides the fact that the attendance will be lower because it's a weekday game
Btw, you're going to be drafted into the Green Army if we win tonight. I don't care if you're a so-called Crew supporter. ;)
58th minutes, still 0-0.
EDIT: oooo... Cleveland PK
GOAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
1-0

I'm going solo, coming in right before the game and leaving immediately after pretty much. But I'd love to jump in with ECS and everything.

Yeah, we've played a couple of friendlies against them, but nothing that means anything.
When we went to Chicago last year we had a decent contingent. This will be even better.
The Green Army marches on Columbus.
If we win tonight of course. Looking good, 1-0 in 74th minute.

I hope Portland and Cleveland win. Rivalries are great for sports, especially football (not to be confused with throwball).

Yes, that was a quality strike. However, the officiating tonight has been horrible. Both ways. Looks like we may be going into extra time, a man down at that.

We usually meet up at Fuel and then head over to Occidental Park 90 mins before the match and walk with the band to the stadium. Lot's of fun.

I really can't understand why he went with a Seattle team. That guy bleeds Cuyahoga water. I guess he was just impatient and didn't want to put forth the effort to bring a team to Cleveland. He's never shown an interest in the USL here, maybe he's a soccer snob that won't look beyond Europe and now MLS.

Well, no trip to Columbus for us. Lost 2-1 in extra time. Now to concentrate on league play.
