Yeah, some of us did, but most of us didn't even realize that the schools even HAD soccer programs.
Well that's unfortunate. A soccer fan ignoring NCAA soccer is like your average American sports fan ignoring MLS. Or a basketball fan ignoring NCAA basketball. Unjust. What were you paying attention to? Rutgers football?
And considering an ASSLOAD of MLS players are drafted out of college, perhaps most MLS fans should pay more attention to the NCAA.
The only reason I know that mine did is because the Great Alexi Lalas played at my fine institution.
Too bad he's an executive assclown now.

lol, true but I grew up playing while Lalas was the face of U.S soccer so, for better or worse, he's a guy that I grew up idolizing. Now as a grown man, I can certainly see his douchebag-ish faults, but I still kinda love the guy.

Well, now that Lalas is gone there's no WAY they can compete in the Champions League. :D

As the season winds down over here going into the playoffs (well for some teams, sans LA Gals) I hope those of you who were looking for an MLS side to follow had chosen the Crew. There's been some entertaining football played by the side since the all star break.

Well, at least I can definitively say I'm not a plastic. I defected from Houston (2-time defending champs and current best record in the West) to Seattle, and they haven't even played a game yet!

Dave are you getting tickets?
I live too far away to go to the games, unfortunately. Was pondering joining ECS from afar.

It's the difference between peeing in the pool and peeing into the pool.

I went to my first MLS game on sunday. Chicago vs Dallas and boy did it suck donkey dick. Dallas won 4-1 but it was as clear as the plate in Brian McBride's head that he was the only half decent player even when he's pretty much finished. But although the football sucked it was alot of fun and the Chicago fans we got the bus with were a great laugh and it was hotter than the sun.
So all in all a fun day out
