There's no need to close the thread. If you don't feel you can handle the discussion feel free to excuse yourself. BW is perfectly capable of regulating this thread on his own. Now, if you can put aside your childish exaggerations I'm sure you'll enjoy the MLS discussion I foresee in the future.

The holier-than-thou potshot act is tired.

Moving on...that's enough monopolizing the thread for both of us, frankly. Let some others have their say while we stand aside. In the name of facilitating rational discussion and all. Consider it a moderator direction and whatnot.

Yea, that's the plan.
Who's the home team?

Who's the home team?

We are.

Just found out I might not be able to make the game though which is disheartening. It's one of the my favorites to attend, great atmosphere.

If the Gals are leading you should sing "Are you Sunderland in disguise?"

Freaking candy-stripers...as I was telling tigerdave, I cannot ever support:

-Chivas
-Chivas USA
-PSV Eindhoven
-Stoke City
-Atletico

If Bayern ever bring out a vertically striped red and white shirt I will poop a Cornish game hen.

They can go screw themselves.

I'm on board with the anti-verticaly-red-white-striped jersey beef, they look freaking horrible and seem to mess with my head.

First Superclassico of the year in the books it's:

3 goals and an 1 assist last night. He's easily the best player in MLS this year. I bet Cappello sees that game and man marks the hell out of LD for the Wembley match.

I think I'd be a bit outnumbered, shaking my bowler hat at the lot of you whilst slurping my tea.

There's still over a month until the game. I think most English people on here know that anything other than a convincing win will render this site unusable for at least a year.

Good point, if we win the BigSoccer servers would probably explode.

If you need tea I'm sure we can provide you with fine American tea bags.

When that US vs. England thread start feel free to move this comment there.

Howay man Silentounce.. there's a month to go keep them stored up. I know you're used to offering tea-bags to blokes you hardly know though so I'll let it go.

I'm not really that into England games anymore to be honest. The media coverage of them is stupid (funny how England fans booing during the minute's silence for the Busby babes was pretty much glossed over, while they all waited for Citeh's fans to boo and seemed to be disappointed).. the Wembley crowd is so full of Chelsea, Arsenal and other London club fans you get f*ck all atmosphere. Plus they're an under-acheiving bunch of f*cknuts that have cost me my summer of cheap beer that the supermarkets always put on during international tournaments.

I'm sure we'll all engage in a bit of banter before the game itself though. Be interesting to be on opposing sides for a change :D
