October 1992... that was the last time I was there. I miss it, lots. I figured we should have a thread devoted to what we miss most from back home...
I miss the peykan taxis, the barf bazi too kooche, and playing football ba toope pelastikiye do laye. Chaharshanbe soori and the ridiculous size of fires that were a hazard to everyone in the vicinity, along with the home made fireworks that you could make using aquarium stones, and the two powders (dont recall the names) that you would buy from paint shops...More to come

I also have'nt been back for a longtime now, 20 years. But i'm doing all my paper work to go back in less than a year ... i hope. I mostly miss my relatives. My mom went back last september after 20 years and she had a blast.

The two powders for 4-har-shanbesoori were zarnikh va kolorat (one yellow the other white). Damn it, that stuff was strong. Put it in a dart specially transformed with a nail attached to it with a rubberband. Throw it in the air and when it landed, BANG ! the googerd gathered from kebrit would also do.Dangerous stuff though. Sometimes it would blow up the iron end of the dart.

I miss all the sweet summers we had in Iran. Same thing with shomal.

I also miss the fruits and vegetables. I'm still not used to the cucumbers they have in France after all this time, they've got zero taste !
