Thats correct, Jay Simpson got a first half treble! A possible semi-final date with ManUre ...they play v Birmingham on Wednesday. Semi is 2 legs so should be interesting whoever the boys play! Newcastle v 'Pool is the other semi.

I went to the game tonight. The allotted area that they had for fans had to be expanded because so many people showed up. You're probably thinking this is a good thing but it was bad for the people who actually wanted to go to watch the game. It seemed like every parent in Islington wanted a night off and thought this would be a cheap baby sitter. The only reason I brought it up because it got to be a distraction.
The game was great. Damn these kids can play. I've never felt so mediocre in my ability after watching these kids. The whole team was solid but I'd say three players stuck out to me the most. Jay Simpson is a good player. He's very quick and two of his goals were perfectly timed runs to beat the offsides trap. Both he rounded the keeper and scored. I think he's going to be good but not great. The two with the most first team potential are definitely Merida and Mark Randall. Merida is damn good. He's left footed and quick as can be. He tackled well and covered a lot of ground. I've heard a lot of similarities to Cesc but I don't think their games are too similar. Mark Randall impressed me the most. He's exactly like Cesc. He is probably the most skilled player I've ever seen. He rarely turned it over. He'd have balls drilled at him from teammates and hit 50 yard balls on the dime with one touch. His technique is unreal and I think he'll be really good. Him and Merida together ran the show for the most part. Other than that the game was entertaining. We were clearly better but a little small at the back which created some problems for us.
