I don't know about Mexico but them British are still undecided whether they will invite Argentina or Brazil for a friendly at the end of their season for the opening of the "new" Wembley. I think that our next friendly match is against Australia though in June, I recall a thread about that friendly.

British? English you mean.
Our first game at Wembley is supposed to be against Germany but it's not been confirmed due to the delay with the stadium. If England are to play Argentina at some point then it won't be confirmed until Wembley is completed because the scheduling will be based around it's availability.

I feel it's a bit risky just before Copa America... Last May the Dutch played the Socceroos, and there were many injuries, just before WC...

Didn't see that one coming from you Prenn:rolleyes: I know, it's only British when your trying to conquer the world:D Just kidding man. When exactly is Wembley supposed to be ready for business? I've heard varying dates. From the pictures I've seen, it's a mind boggling facility. What's the reaction from the Brits er I mean English to the new stadium?

True but he isn't incorrect in referring to people from england as being British, right? I mean, there is no British team but it's kinda like saying- a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square, British being the more inclusive term. :o

I've made the same argument and Prenn will undoubtedly attempt to beat it down. In a charming British way or course;)

In some contexts it's correct but this one is wrong as he's referring to England and not Britain. It'd be like saying 'European' instead of English, he'd be right but wrong.

Will D'Alessandro ever get called up?? He has been brilliant with Zaragoza.
I'd like to see Basile play Aimar, D'Alessandro, and Messi at the same time. I think it would work well.

I know- I was just trying to recall axioms (or maybe theorums) from High School.

  Please tell me this is true, and that it would be played in LA!!! I doubt it though.. If it were to be played here, it would prob. be somewhere in the East Coast.

A big-time international friendly to be held in the U.S. is very close to being finalized. And it doesn't involve Mexico or the U.S.; it's Brazil v. Argentina. Look for the game to be played in late March

All I've been able to find so far...I think this falls under "too good to be true".

I did my research, and this is what the website who spread the rumours said:
A little bird, no make that a pretty big bird actually, tells me that a big-time international friendly to be held in the US is very close to being finalized. And it doesn't involve Mexico or the U.S.; it's Brazil v. Argentina. Look for the game to be played in late March, which would lead me to believe that this match is headed to Florida, California, or Texas. The source also indicates that this will not be scrub squads and to expect each team to bring it's stars so expect to see players whose names begin with "R" and end in "O".
You may be asking yourself "how good is this information"? All I will say is that this comes from the same place that hipped me to RBNY v. Barcelona a full 2 months before it was officially announced.
Like hoss said, it sounds too good to be true. Plus, AFA confirmed the Australia-Argentina match that will be played on June 6th, and the Norway-Argentina match (August 22nd) today. Why would they have mentioned those two, but not the Arg-Bra one, if it will be played in one month?
Oh well, we can hope, right?.. right?

Loco, you're in LA right? Wasn't the friendly a few years back versus Mexico put together on short notice? LA, NYC and Miami are the most logical choices. My guess though is if this happens, we'll see an Argentine team similar to the one that played Mexico. Mainly domestics buy hey, their our domestics so they are top notch.

Just to have River come to Los Angeles this Summer would be great, but to have both River and Argentina come in the same year (2007) would be amazing.
I don't want to get too excited, but it's a good sign. :)
