I told her about it last night. Don't worry.

I got a bunch, but I actually don't think I have many pictures. I have a skull and cross on my left arm, safety pin on my left hand between my thumb and index finger, chaos wheel on my right elbow, and just got the caffeine molecule on my left elbow.
I'm starting to get liver spots that could pass for tattoos.
If I did actually get one, that US Soccer "Don't tread on Me" logo would be cool. Heck, why not get the Revs flag logo?

That would look like 100 times better without the white.
Tattoos with white ink look stupid.

I was thinking about getting just the snake and the ball on my calf.
And the Revs flag over my heart.

Well I talked to the lady at the parlor and she said she can do it for me over vacation, so I'll have it this week, maybe tomorrow:cool:
I also got paid tonight ($200:cool:  ) and what I'm getting is the blue text that says "Revolution" in our logo up my forearm. I'll show pics when I get it, but it's something I've wanted for a while. Rather than say R-E-V etc it's gonna go:
R
E
V
down my forearm. It'll be in navy blue too.

Well I was gonna go get it yesterday originally, but being the idiot I am I mixed booze and woke up in a pile of vomit, spent the day hungover, and overall just felt like shizzle. Today I'm gonna go get my money, and tomorrow I'll probably get the tat:cool:

Is there any chance I can convince you to get this somewhere else? I mean, you may want to wear a short-sleeve shirt to work some day. Face, hand, and neck tattoos limit your hire-ability, and the forearm is not much better. The tattoo will be awesome no doubt, but how about down your calf instead? You probably wear shorts to the games all summer, and are not likely to wear shorts to work (depending on your eventual job)
Sorry to sound like an old biddy here, just my 2 cents.

I know the potential consequences if I do get this, but my current job (retail) doesn't have a problem with it, and I plan on working either as a journalist or graphic designer, both of which fields should have no problem with it. I may run into some problems, but I'm fully aware of what may happen.

Or just plan to work in the art field like me, where having visible tattoos is almost expected.

I agree. Mine's up on the upper arm, so if I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt, I can get away with that at work.

My appointment's at 2 tomorrow, and I'm getting it on my forearm. I plan on joining an artistic field as the guy above had stated, so tattoo's won't be that big of a problem. My goal in life is to be successful in a non-desk/office job.

Sounds good, I just wanted to offer an old man's perspective, it sounds like you have thought about it already, which is great. Having taken earrings out and shaved my porkchop sideburns for interviews in the corporate world, I just wanted you to be aware. I should note, after getting my current job, I have dyed my hair blond (poorly), had chops, wear earrings all the time, etc, but first impressions made a difference in getting here. I didn't set out to be a corporate sellout when I was 18, but I ended up here anyway. I now have a full beard, and I know that even that makes an impression on people, as I look a lot older with it. If I were to interview for a new job, I would probably shave it just for the advantage of youth. Sounds sad, but true.
Anyway, I look fwd to seeing it at the games this year, I'll be the one in the suit and tie! ;)
