I don't know if anyone else has any songs in mind for the team, but I thought we could possibly take a song that's never been used before and make it our own like Celtic and Liverpool do for YNWA. Not sure if anyone else knows of State Radio, but their one acoustic song called Indian Moon is pretty inspirational and similar to YNWA.

And wherever you go there you are
And if I go I won't go far
Wherever you go
There you are
And if I go I won't go far

And oh sir
If you ever lose your way
You can call upon this family
You can call upon this day
And old man
If you ever lose your way
You can call up on this family
You can call upon this day

Tell me that doesn't just scream out "Brotherly Love";)

Alright, I like it.

Do the other two "elders" have an opinion?

this 'old head' likes the lyrics ... would love to hear how the song sounds though.

I can email you guys the song or send it to you on AIM if you want.

BTW, the bassist and backup vocalist is from the Philadelphia area, Chalfont I believe.

Edit: I found two live streams of the song.

http://www.patchmusic.info/index.php?s=stream&id_artist=2&playid=162

http://ccbsayit.com/index.php?s=setlists&m=stats&playlist=64 (Acoustic)

I always think it's best to hear the studio version first, but these are both great imo. The Acoustic version is more similar to the traditional studio version.

I like it...Maybe just the chorus...but I like it.

Maybe replace and oh sir and old man with Philly

Philly
If you ever lose your way
You can call upon this family
You can call upon this day
(Repeat)

Sounds very haunting and could be sung ad naseum

Personally, I love this idea. This could be a great song.

I'm glad you both enjoy it. I'll see if I can find a stream of the studio version anywhere.

it would work better if it was a more 'popular' song that people could recognize, but that's not to say i'm against using it.

Chad! Haha

This may be a bit of a stretch, but State Radio aren't really unknown completely. A large part of their recent success is due to Chad, the lead, formerly being in the band Dispatch. Dispatch's final concert dubbed "Last Dispatch" had over 110,000 people in Boston, MA. They're getting together for 3 sold out shows this summer in NYC @ MSG. All proceeds are going to Zimbabwe. The first show sold out in something like 20 minutes so they were forced to add 2 more.
