I see a lot of websites that offer tickets such as ticketbroker. Are these sites considered scalpers, has anyone here ever used these sites, any recommendations?
This is a genuine question so please excuse my ignorance and try not to shout at me :)
Thanks
Keith

These are all scalpers/touts and if they sell any football ticket for a match in the UK they are doing so illeagally. They often have fake tickets, stolen tickets and often the purchaser will not get entry to the ground.

Links to sites not needed to ask the question. Should probably remove them....

I'm sorry but in my defense I just entered the names, I think the BB software turned them into links.

No worries mate. We get an aweful lot of people trying to advertise scalped tickets here. Some blatent. Some disguised as questions. And usually from new members.
Understanable then that we (I) am habitually suspitious.
If your enquiry was genuine then I appolagise for comming off a bit sharp.

Plus, Wooly, Wenger could actually buy a player for the same price that you might pay for those tickets.
I looked at them before finding out about Arsenal America and this board, and the prices are insane. Perhaps Chelsea has been regularly buying these tix to see classy football....

My first game ever I paid double face value and ended up behind a pole because I bought from a broker.
Don't do it.
One of the reasons we don't run ads on ArsenalAmerica.com is because all the scalpers ads would appear (thanks google).

We have a group off to London in April to see the Fulham match. I had the same question as the guy who started the thread. My wife is sending me on the trip for my birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't know about Arsenal America in time, so our only option is to try a broker. Has anyone used one of these brokers, and had success with one they could recommend? I don't look forward to getting gouged, but it could be a once in a lifetime type trip, and we're all willing to pay, just obviously worried about what we're paying for.

Depending on the size of your group you re better off waiting until the day and see what last minute tickets I get. Remember any scalper that tells you he is going to get 2 or more tickets together. Is Lying. Simple as that. Shoot me a PM.

I used a broker for two tickets to Chelsea back in '03 and I paid nearly $600 for them. I can't imagine things would be much better with today's exchange rate.

I paid about $400 for 1 ticket to the Chelski game at Highbury in '03. I went through a tout because i was a lurker on the board at that time and I didn't want to bother Rick. That was a huge mistake. I paid way too much and missed out on meeting a bunch of cool people.

Beauty!!! A friend of a friend scored us 3 of our 5 tickets. He has season tickets, and has another next to his willing to give one up. He says he's confident in having the other two by matchday!!! Was never worried about the cost of the brokers, just if tickets would ever meet us in London. Feel much, much better now. Can now truly look forward to a once in a lifetime trip, would still like to raise a pint or two with anyone in the nearby pubs. What's the place I'll be looking for, the Tavern? Is that the name of it?

Just found out that our connection in London (friend of a friend) will be letting us use his two and got the fine folks around him to sell theirs to us, so our group will be sitting together. Rick, thanks for the info anyway, I'd still like to buy you a beer for what you do for all the other fine folks in here. PM me on how I'd find you at the bar before the match.

They are always at the Arsenal Tavern (also known as the @ club) on Blackstock road before the game. This post has a link to the Google map (not sure if it still works).
