I realize that, obviously, the results on this forum will be biased, but I'm just curious. It will also judge how many people there are on the forum who are interested in a St. Louis club.

For an MLS team? Season tickets, definitely.

I think, for a lot of people, it probably depends on the location of the stadium. If the stadium is Downtown, I asked some of my co-workers and we would have at least 17 season tickets. We'd go as a group and our aim would be to stay in the same section and try and create a great atmosphere within our section. As far as Collinsville, the same passion just isn't there. I don't think I'd even get season tickets because it would be such a chore for me to attend. I would attend at least a half dozen games, regardless of the area.

Just out of curiosity, where do you live in STL? I believe the Collinsville location is less than 10 miles from downtown, and all hwy driving, of course.

Season tickets. It may mean that I move my Cardinals season tix to a less expensive section so that I can afford both, but I'm cool with that.

I live 33 miles away from thet propose stadium site. I will still be a season ticket holder. I grew up in the NW burbs of Chicago. Going to Sox games is just about the same distance, but in chicago traffic, so distance dosent mean much to me.

The extra travel time to Collinsville would be negated compared to a downtown location when you figure in the amount of time spent negotiating the downtown streets, finding parking, walking to the stadium, etc. The location being considered in Collinsville will allow you to exit the highway right at the complex parking lot.

It's not a "chore" to get from West County or St. Charles to Collinsville. I drive from the East Side to Chesterfield everyday. In rush hour. Takes no more than an hour, if traffic is bad. Without traffic, 45 minutes.

Even though I live in Columbia, I would still try to make 5 or so games. It would be a great date for my wife and I, and a good chance for my parents to babysit their grandson.

But.....

If I ever moved back to STL, I would either have season tickets or go in on some. But I don't see myself staying away!

I would actually buy 2 season tix. Even though I've gone to games by myself before, it's always more fun with a friend.
Regardless of location, I'm hoping for something convenient to Metrolink. If I'm not mistaken, as of now, the last east-side stop is Belleville.

actually the last stop is at Scott Air Force base, however, metrolink does not go to Collinsville, where they are looking at building the stadium, it is further north than metrolink

Yeah, they're not even close.

The proposed site is about 7-8 miles to the two nearest MetroLink stops: Washington Park (intersection of Kingshighway and St. Clair Ave, just south of I-64 Exit 6) and Fairview Heights (area just east of IL Rt157, south of St. Clair Ave, and west of IL Rt 161, about 1 mile south of I-64 Exit 9). If Metro were to provide shuttle buses from MetroLink, my guess is that Fairview Heights would be a possibility, but a better option might be the Emerson Park station. I think they use Emerson Park as the shuttle stop for people attending races at Gateway. Time-wise for those coming from the Missouri side, I think a shuttle operation from Emerson Park would be the fastest. The problem many would have with Emerson Park is that it is in East St. Louis, proper. But it actually is a large station with plenty of lighting, and I think it might have a security office there.

I posted 1-5, but only because i live about 4 hours away in BG, Kentucky. If i lived say less than an hour away i would almost have to talk my wife into getting season tickets.
