You can easily spot soccer fields in Google Earth just by zooming in a bit.

Here's one in Kabol, Afghanastan.

Where in the world can you find a soccer field/stadium?

If you find one in an unusual place, or just a good one that you want to share, post it here!

I have like 6,000 stadiums on my Google Earth, it's almost embarrassing.

That's Tuvalu's national "stadium".

ok, if you search for them, you will find at least some 10 other soccer fields in my city alone, which is not even that important, its like the 95th largest city in Brazil.

Even funner, find a FIELD HOCKEY field in the US. I found one once (either Nevada or California) and it took a while to figure out what the heck it was (has the round 'penalty area'). probably a bit easier to find in India where sport is more popular.

Loads of field hockey fields in the US. Women's field hockey was added to many college programs to meet Title XI.

That's two of the "stadiums" in the Tuvalu A-Division. Most of the Atolls field teams, usually using the town square (or equivalent) as their pitch. Funafuti, the most important settlement, is the only one with a stand.

Here is the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN, about 1 mile from where I work. It's the home of the USA Cup youth tournament, one of the largest in the world.
It has 52 fields and is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest soccer facility in the world. I've had to zoom pretty far out to get all of the fields in the shot.

Very cool, thank you! How do you know about the Tuvalu A-Division, just curious. Here's just some stuff I found on wikipedia about it:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6b/Tuvalu_ASA-Logo.gif

The Tuvalu national soccer team is the international football team of Tuvalu. The team is not affiliated by FIFA, but is an associate member of the OFC.

The national team is controlled by the Tuvalu Soccer Association and played three international matches in the 1979 South Pacific Games, held in Fiji. There, the team recorded both its largest win, 5-3 against Tonga, and its worst defeat, losing 18-0 to Tahiti.

It also participated in four games at the South Pacific Games in 2003, again held in Fiji. After defeating Kiribati in their opening game, the Tuvaluan team lost their remaining three matches and finished fourth out of five in Pool A.
