On the sports news on a norwegian television channel they said that Ygor Maciel Santiago, the captain of Vasco da Gama, has signed for IK Start in the norwegian premier division. Dunga told Santiago that had to join Europe if he wanted to picked for the national team.
Can anyone tell me more about this player?
Is he really a prospect for the national team?

LOL, Dunga actually spoke with Ygor? I haven't heard anything about Ygor leaving Brasil and plus he is listed in the starting lineup for Vasco's Copa do Brasil matchup on Wednesday.
Ygor is an mediocre defensive midfielder at best. He isn't very good at passing and he is an OK marker. AuriVerde or sidis probably could tell you more than I since they are both vascainos :)

Ygor have a poor 2005 season and 2006 start
but in final 06 and start 07 he is very good player.
he is a natural "dogfighter" and play as good as sweeper or as d-mid.
young and in ascencion is a good deal to you.
but brazilian press say nothing about that.
