...isn't that scary. Unlike last time this relegation doesn't threaten the club financially.

The new owners can spend the money to get out of the fizzy pop. In truth they have no option after spending shed loads on buying the club. And I do believe that it's a league which you can buy your way out of eventually (caveat: with a decent manager).

Magnuson doesn't appear to be a timid man when it comes to making decisions and moving forward. Add to that his apparent connections throughout the european football establishment and I think you have someone who has the chance to leave a positive legacy at the club.

I do think we will be back within 5 years and the club will be a whole new proposition. A new stadium coming on-line and money to consistently look to upgrade the playing staff.

But the short term is grim I admit.

I'm afraid that the damage was done before the buy out.And the players for the most part seem to have given up.I guess they figure alot of them will be sold as soon as the summer gets here.BUT I don't think we'll be down for more than 1 year,to much money now to have to worry about that. The bigger question is who will stay and who will go.I am just hoping that some of the better players we have don't jump ship, and show some loyalty to the club.Curbs is another matter altogether I'm not sure he's the man for the job..but then I believe it would difficult to bring in a top flight manager when you're in the pop fizzy league.

Your right there Rusty, but going back a few years we had a bloody good manager in Harry, (yeah, I know all about the dodgy deals & alleged bungs) but he knew then, and still does, how to motivate players, especially disruptive ones! but dear old Brownstain chose to sack him, oh sod it, what's the point.:(

I agree wholeheartedly, Claret. Motivation is the key. Some of that last-minute magic he pulled with Portsmouth last season would be welcome now.
