My friend and I are debating wether or not MLS is better than the French leauge. Just to see your opinions I have posted a poll where you can rank top league around the world. Be as accurate as you can.....don't be like Nicaragua league is better English Premire League.

The French league is arguably the 4th best league in Europe. Some people will say that the German league is better but that would still put it as 5th best in Europe. That's alot higher then MLS.

Doubtful yes. :rolleyes: An American player has made a one week try at Marseille this winter, he's been refused.

French League is more defensive than Bundesliga and more rigourous, that's why Lyon 7-2 Bremen and Nancy 3-0 Shalke.
They have an advantage: they have got REAL football stadiums... :(

Now, if you removed Ligue 1 I think your question could lead to some true debate.

You absolutely can't be serious about MLS being comparable to Ligue 1; it's right up there with the First Bundesliga. MLS is probably somewhere around Allsvenskan quality, maybe not even that good.

How ever voted for MLS obviously doesnt watch much football around the world. Ligue 1 for sure. The MLS wouldn't even come second in that list.

Although Ligue 1 are winners, I don't know if it isn't any close. The Russian league carries some formidable opponents in the form of Spartak, CSKA, and Zenit.

Only Lyon is ahead of the likes of CSKA. Lille had an easy group, and CSKA were in first with two games left to be played, and are former (2 years ago) UEFA Cup winners. Hell, they'd give Lyon a good run for their money.

The French league is superior than any other on this Poll. The Poll would be better if the french league was left out.
