I am relatively new to watching European football, but one thing I have found is that Edgar Davids is one of the most exciting players to watch.

He is so active and always agressive. How do all you Zebra fans feel about him, the good and the bad.

to me Davids is one of the best players in the world , he is so tough on both sides of the ball . wins loose balls and passes very well. he is one of a kind! but don't take my word for it watch him play the next chance you get.

Davids was especially rampant in the Holland/US friendly last year....totally controlled the midfield.

The Holland/US friendly was my first exposure to Davids, and you are exactly right whith your comments about him controlling the midfield. He is fun to watch.

I only got to see the first 30 minutes of the Real-Juve game, but I didn't notice Davids on the field. What's up with his situation at Juve? Is he being benched? Is he injured?

He was suspended due to being sent off after two yellow cards in the Quarterfinal vs. Barca. A similar thing happened for Paul Scholes and Gary Neville for the second leg at Old Trafford, except that their was due to the accumulation of yellow cards instead of being sent off.

If you have only followed Davids recently, you may not know some of the ups and downs of his career.

Some high- and lowlights:

1995 - wins Champions League with Ajax
1996 - spring misses PK in shootout which decided CL final vs Juventus
1996 - sent home from Euro96 after accusing Dutch coach Guus Hiddink of favoring white players 1996 - joins Milan and suffers lowest period of his career, punctuated by a compound leg fracture
1997 - joins Juventus for $10 million to little fanfare
1999 - diagnosed with glaucoma, for which he has eye surgery; receives special permission from FIFA to begin wearing special protective goggles
2001 - tests positive for nandrolone and serves 2 month ban for testing positive for nandrolone.

sorry, I meant from a Holland perspective, in terms of standing out and being an obvious force. I should have clarified that a little better!

I like Davids, he's very aggressive. However, it seems that he doesn't really want to be at Juve so if he left I really wouldn't care.

I love him, great ball winner, IMO i think He and Zidane were the best midfield ever, even though they didn't win a lot of trophies, great understanding.

Huh? Looks to me as if he plays his heart out for Juve every match!

He's mad at Moggi because he wasn't allowed to leave last year.
